Non-Resolutions and Exercise

I was scooting around all the blogs yesterday and ran across this from Margaret's blog:   Black Shadow Creations.  If you haven't visited her blog you really need to do so.  She makes very cute and pretty cards and all sorts of altered things - I swear she can alter anything!  Plus, she' a very sweet lady too!   She had this on her blog and I thought it was so neat..............

I don't make resolutions at all - just like Margaret - but there are things I'd like to do this year.  I loved all of these - with the exception of one!!!!!!!!!!!   Exercise!!!!  PLEASE!  I've been exercising my entire life.........

BIRTH:  I'm sure I came out of the womb kicking and screaming - and that's exercise!!
TODDLER AND GRADE SCHOOL:  I played so hard as a child.  Baseball, football, cowboys and Indians, catching lizards, etc.....(there were a lot of boys in the neighborhood).  We also had recess in school and that equals exercise!!
HIGH SCHOOL:  I was pretty busy chasing the boys for sure - and that takes a lot of exercise!!
COLLEGE:  Party time!  Need I say more - except that's also exercise because I partied hard!
CHILDREN:  Got married and had children!  Yikes!  Not only is childbirth exercise but then chasing around after them for so many years was even MORE exercise!!
WORK:  Mental exercise and getting up each morning to go to work was physical exercise!!

So, with the exception of exercise, I think these are good things to do!!!  My non-resolutions for the year!

Thanks for stopping by......
Lynn

I'm spending less time on the computer and more time getting healthy. That's my resolution! So far, so good!

Well I think I'm going to join in with you on this one. I said I was going to exercise more this year and already the first three days I haven't done one minute more than I normally do, which is not that much in the first place. Love this and now I'm on my way over to Margaret's blog. Have a great weekend.

Some really worthwhile non-resolutions. I resolve to consider each one of 'em! That's as far as I'll go. I did promise self to TRY to get organized - at least the stamp area. I also thought real hard about starting back to walk. (Reallyl need to do that! Of course it's rained the 2 days we've been home, so blah to that thought!). TFS the link to Margaret and I'll check it out. Thanks for the laugh on your post too! I can see you got plenty of exercise always. Hugs & Happy Sunday

I don't make promises to myself that I know I won't keep!! That leaves no room for unnecessary stress when I'd break all of them by January 2nd or 3rd! LOL I've learned and gained that senior citizen wisdom me thinks :)

Aww... You're making me blush! I'm glad you liked my non-resolutions! I like your approach to exercise too! Unfortunately, I really should get more than I do. Maybe if I think really hard about exercising it will be the same as if I really did it! Thanks so much for the shout out!

I hate Resolutions too!! Always feel so bad when I break them!! Love this one though!! But I would add to it to go to as many scrapbooking events as possible!!

Love that list, Lynn. Thanks fot finding it and sharing it. :-D My resolution is the same every year -- never make any New Year's resolution that I won't keep. Since I've never been able to keep any of them for more than 6 days ...
Happy New Year, my friend.

Exercise us certainly my least favorite thing to do. I think cardmaking should be considered exercise. Down to stamp, up to get the ink, down to stamp, up to get a different stamp, down to stamp, etc...plus my craft room is upstairs. Unfortunately my Dr. doesn't agree with me that it's exercise! Thanks for sharing these non resolutions. They are all excellent and things we should all do more of....except exercise!

Yep- I think we are related- lots of exercise for me too.....the typing when we make blog comments has to burn those calories as well......I sure hope you have the best of years and are able to meet your goals.
