Black and White

Just a couple of black and white cards I did the other day.  I recently bought a black and white paper pack from My Favorite Things and felt like I had to use it.  Of course!

This first one is using my favorite Memory Box die.  Very simple and I used a small strip of some of the black and white patterned paper down the side.  I added some Nuvo drops and keep thinking I need more.

Second card -  the bird image is from Unity Stamps.  The background is a black plaid but you can barely see it in the photo as it looks more like a solid black.  Anyway.....It is what it is.  I was tempted to at least color the berries on that branch but at the last minute decided to leave it just like it was.  The white framing was a piece in my scrap box and it fit pretty good so figured I'd better use it.

So, there you go.........nothing special but a couple of black and white cards

Thanks for stopping by...........and keep smiling!

Lynn

Nothing wrong with black and white and these are so pretty and eye catching. I really like the design of the poppy card. It stands out and showcases the flowers.

These are very special black and white creations! That dainty flower really stands out beautifully on your design with that strip of paper! I love that bird image on your second card and how you've framed him up too! Wonderful makes and hope you have a great week!

I just love black and white cards and always have. The first is perfection in my opinion. That little strip of paper with the silhouette flowers looks amazing and it doesn't need another thing! How convenient that you had that read-made frame in your scrap box for the 2nd card. It's the perfect way to perch this pretty little bird. That tiny bit of colorful twine is a wonderful touch too. Great job on both of these!

Oh, they are both SO elegant!! Love black&white, even if I rarely use this palette. Your CAS is the perfection, I agree with Carol! That flower silhouette looks amazing near the patterned strip and the sentiment has a wonderful font!
Love Unity stamps and that bird on the branch is so sweet. Well done using a leftover for the frame! :) Love the yellow/orange piece of wine, such cute detail!

Nothing special?!! These cards are certainly special Lynn! I love the black and white color combo! They are so striking and elegant. Love the black and white paper you used on the first card. Simple and clean and oh so elegant! I love it! I also love, love, love your second card. That bird stamp is just beautiful! It's a shame we can't see the plaid black paper, it does indeed look all black. So I can just imagine how gorgeous this card is in real life! I love it with looking all black! LOL Very elegant, very classy are both of these cards. Love them!!! Hugs, Brenda

Hello, Lynn! Your cards are beautiful in classic black and white, such an elegant look. That's a gorgeous bird stamp for sure. I think you made a good decision not to colour it, although I do like the pop of yellow with the twine.

Thank you so much for your kind words on our sadly departed Honeydew and our precious new kitty, Sweet Pea, much appreciated. Please give Rambo a cuddle from me.
