Celebration!

Not real sure what I'm celebrating here - if anything - but I do have a card today, so maybe that's the celebration.

I've been watching Youtube.......now I realize that's sorta like looking at Pinterest.  You see all these wonderful things everyone does and think "I can do that too" and then you don't.   Anyway,  I was watching one of the Youtube videos the other day where they were using all kinds of washi tape.  So, hey......I can do that!  They were mainly using  the big wide ones but of course I don't have any of those but I do have a little cigar box with the skinny ones in it so I hauled that out to see what I could do.  (Note - No, I don't smoke cigars but those little boxes with the flip lids are wonderful to hold all sorts of treasures!)

So, here's my take using the washi tape.  Super simple card, washi strips, and a celebrate die...........

Thanks for stopping by............and keep smiling!
Lynn

Your comment brought a smile to my face. When I go to craft stores and see things they've made I think the same thing - "I can do that" and find I can't! This is cute as can be and looks doable. I like the colors you used, it's so bright and cheerful.

OMGosh, what a fabulous card Lynn and a great use of washi tape! I don't have the wide washi tape either and as a matter of fact, I just threw a bunch of washi away. It broke my heart to do so, but they wouldn't work, all stuck to themselves, so in the trash they went. BUT....I am going to have to make CAS your card with what washi I have. I love this idea! Love the sentiment going across the washi. YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest, etc....are like falling down a rabbit hole! LOL But they are so fun! I watch YouTube videos more than I watch TV. LOL Hugs, Brenda

I love the colorful strips on this! Such a cheery design and you could celebrate all sort of things with this card! I would celebrate that I used some washi tape! LOL I have a couple of those box lids, but now I'd have to find them...and why am I not putting anything in them? Great card today!

What a great use of those fun and colorful washi tapes! I just love this great design and the big celebrate in white covering them all. It's a great CAS design and I'd say "HEY! I can do that!" Except I don't have much washi tape on hand LOL You have a cigar box and I have a very old Whitman's candy box that my grandmother saved buttons in! Those old boxes are perfect for crafters like us!

What a great idea Lynn (may have to pinch this LOL) because I never know what to do with washi tape! Love your card it's so elegant ...I go on You Tube for ideas and they mostly end up in the bin! especially if I'm trying to get the hang of folded ones..hugs Sue x

I knew someone who did smoke cigars. Tough little lady with a huge heart. Smile. Great job with your narrow tape. Love it.

Super cute. I like how you used the wash I tape. Good job placing it all perfectly. I probably would not have gotten it straight. I love the bright colors.
