Couple of things going on with this card today. First of all I have some very exciting news to share........drum roll........I'm now on the 2 Crafty Critter Crazies design team! Y'all already know how I LOVE my critters so it's an honor to be on a design team that features them all the time!
Our challenge at 2 Crafty Critter Crazies is sponsored by Createful Hearts this month and they've so graciously allowed me to use the Tree Branch Owls for my card today. To enter the challenge all you have to do is create a card or project with a critter on it. Easy, fun, and there's a prize too. Come on over and show us your critters.
I had fun creating my card today. I decided to make it into a He (blue) and She (girl) type card for an anniversary/love/whatever. I used Copics to color the image and background and a circle die to highlight the happy couple. Of course they had to have google eyes too. I mean - have you ever noticed how big an owl's eyes are! Anyway, this was placed on some wood grain card stock adding a tiny heart, a couple of clouds, white gel pen dots to the owls, and then a sentiment added.
Thanks for stopping by.............and be sure and check out 2 Crafty Critter Crazies challenge.

(Edited: Sorry I haven't been by lately. Been having a slight issue with my arm/hand. Trying to type with one hand - and one finger - isn't fun and pretty hard to deal with right now. It's all starting to feel a little better so hopefully I'll be back to 100% and over to visit your blog soon.)

Together
No, this isn't another Valentine card! This is an anniversary card for some friends. The stamp set is from Newton's Nook and the sentiment is a very old one from Stampin' Up. The small hearts were punched out from an Impression Obsession die.
I'll enter this in the challenge at Casology (together) and at CAS(E) this Sketch (sketch challenge).

Two Hearts
I had two anniversary cards that needed to go out this week so completed these two in no time flat. Both are the same but I punched different hearts for them. Of course I just had to use that wonderful die from MFT once again.

Happy Loving
I quickly colored up this Art Impressions stamp with Copics on Very Vanilla card stock, added that strip of paper on the side (because it was sitting on my desk and would have been tossed otherwise), added the twine, and called it done. Whew! This really reminds me of them except she would have been carrying a pink purse instead of a brown one. Everything has to match or she doesn't leave the house. I'm one to check and just make sure I have on my pants and they're not wrong side out or something!
Thanks for stopping by..............I'm going to take a few days off around here and see if I can't re-charge my batteries. I'll see everyone soon! I DO have a couple of photos of Rambo coming next week but be warned: Viewer Discretion Advised!!!!

Married Life
This weekend I finally decided I'd better get off my duff and start creating a little. I've been so busy this past week and haven't been able to even think about creating. So Saturday morning, I woke up and told Jim that "today is MY day". I'm going back to the cubby hole and will be buried in card stuff and NOT to bother me. And then.........
Not even an hour later, I hear - "Hey, I think we should try to plant a little garden! All we have to do is till a small area and put some seeds in. It won't take us long at all (notice how he used the word "us" in that statement!"
Jim is feeling a little better but still not able to do much - so, the "we" business of us doing this turned into more of a "me" business. Four hours later I'm still digging in the dirt and feeling like a semi truck hit me after being beaten to death running that tiller. It's all done though and now we just have to give it a little water and watch it grow......hopefully!
I'm thinking one of the key ingredients of being married is having patience!!! Of course, wanting to wring their neck, is another one though!
I finally did get a little "ME" time in on Sunday so hopefully will be posting more - no promises though. Oh, this image is from Sarah Kaye. It's colored with Copics, sentiment added, and a couple of tiny hearts coated with Wink of Stella.
Thanks for stopping by......

New Toy
New toys!!!!!! I always laugh at Jim whenever he gets a new tool or something - you know....boys and their toys. Well, I just purchased a 24 count set of the Derwent Intense pencils and now I know what he feels like!
I've really been on a "more white space CAS roll" around here and decided it was high time to throw in a couple of layers and (gasp) patterned paper. I colored the Sara Kay image with the pencils. It's not perfect by any means but I AM having fun using them. Just have a whole bunch of practicing to do now. I really like that they're a little brighter than the Prisma pencils and the fact they're less expensive than Copics.
This will be an anniversary card for Jim's sister and brother in law - um.....I believe it's number 53 for them! Anyway......I always - and I mean ALWAYS - give them a funny, humorous, crazy type card so this one will be a little different. Surely I'm not getting sweet or something!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for stopping by.................

Anniversary Photo
Well, the hubs and I have an anniversary coming up in a few days so thought I'd make him a card....just a photo of the happy couple! Actually, this looks nothing like us (I don't do poofy attire at all) but thought you'd enjoy our "anniversary conversation" anyway:
Jim: So, what do you want for our anniversary?
Lynn: Um....how about a Corvette! I'd look pretty hot in one of those.
Jim: Come on now, I'm serious - besides that, you're lucky to get your drivers license renewed every year!!!
Lynn: Ok, we'll go with the diamond ring!!!!! Yea!
Jim: Now what in the world do you want with something like that - our social life just consists of going to the doctors office!
Lynn: O-K! Let's go dancing!
Jim: I'd probably trip over my walker.
Lynn: Alright - we're down to going out to eat I guess.
Jim: YES!!! I LOVE Whataburger - they have the very best fries - so we'll just go there!!!
Ah, married life!!! Just a little humor to take you into the weekend (however, we really did have this conversation! Yikes)! Anyway.......I used part of an Art Impressions stamp and the Instant Camera die from Lil Inker. The DP is from CTMH and I added tiny pearls for the buttons on her dress and his shirt pockets.
I'll enter this in the challenge at Simon Says Stamps Challenge (Take a Picture).
Thanks for stopping by............and keep smiling!

Mice in Love
I've been wanting to play along in the House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge for so long but due to having a very limited supply of House Mouse images I hadn't been able to do so. The challenge this go round is themed Double Trouble - to use at least two meeces (or friends)......so YEAH I have a stamp I can use!
I was going to punch out the little hearts and put different DP behind them, but lining those things up correctly and then punching them is just beyond me, so I just punched them out of gingham and added them to the front. I did a little stitching on here and made the frame with a couple of SU punches. The image, Tails of Love, was colored with Prisma pencils. I used some Pretty in Pink card stock and Paper Studio DP.
I'll enter this in the challenge at House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge (Double Trouble).

Shopping Our Stash Challenge Stickers
How about some STUCK ON STICKERS this week for our Shopping Our Stash Challenge. Yes, that's right....we want to see what you can create using any type of sticker! We all have them I'm sure - but do you use them that much? If you're like me, you don't! So dig into that stash of yours, find a sticker, and create something for our challenge! Be sure and check out our blog and see all the inspiration from the DT.
I really think I got this dimensional sticker (Jolee's by You) at a yard sale at some point in time. It came in a package of two and the other one was used so long ago. I thought this would make a pretty card for an Anniversary. I also used some "never before used" GCD Studio DP. It's topped off with some Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler, Pink Pirquette, the Square Lattice embossing folder, Framlits Hearts. pearls and....are you ready for this.............Smooch Spritz!!! Amazing! I finally figured out how to use that stuff but it's such a shame you can't see it in the photo. It really gives a sheen to the card. I was just spraying it on and it was coming out in big blobs - never thought that maybe I should shake it up a bit! Duh!
I'll enter this is the challenge at There She Goes (winged things).
You can find my {Pin}spirational Challenge post below this one.

Oriole and Geranium
Before I get to my card today I wanted to show you the picture of this pretty Oriole that keeps showing up on our hummingbird feeder. I've tried for several weeks to get a photograph of him and was finally able to do it. We actually have an Oriole feeder but he prefers the hummingbird feeder instead. It's really not a very good photo but was the best I could do. He just doesn't want to cooperate a lot.
My card for today is using the geranium image from the Hambo Hoedown progressive challenge. Head over there and check out their challenge as it's so much fun. This week, other than having to use a Hambo image, it must also have scoring. I don't own any type of scoring tool so after printing the image, coloring it with Copics, and cutting it down to size, I then scored around it by placing it in my paper cutter, did a lot of measuring, and used a stylus in the groove. The sentiment and punches are from SU and I added the two pearls on the ends. The bow was completed with my Bow-Easy.
Thanks for stopping by.........oh, and guess what tomorrow is??? Get ready for another FUNNY FRIDAY!

Copics 101
Don't anyone get real excited because I still love my Prisma pencils...however...I did purchase a few more Copics the other day and am in the process of learning how to use them. So many use this color medium and all the creations tend to be gorgeous so I thought I'd give it a try and maybe some of that gorgeous-ness will rub off on me! LOL! I'm pretty sure I've viewed every video made on how to use these things and was still having such a hard time. So, I purchased this wonderful book (Copic Coloring Guide) and must say I'm loving it. For a beginner like me it sure is coming in handy and hopefully I'll get the hang of it soon.
After seeing Jan's card using this image, I decided to take the plunge and try my hand at it. Mine is no where close to being as pretty as hers but....I'm learning and I guess that's what it's all about. Also, Dana, has been so much inspiration with her lovely coloring with Copics...take a look and you'll see what I'm talking about!
I'm not REAL happy with the card (but am happy with the coloring for a first shot at this). I was going to stamp a sentiment at the base of the flowers but was just too plain "chicken"! It took me forever to get this thing colored and I wasn't about to mess it up trying to stamp a sentiment on there straight! LOL! I just used some GP card stock from Walmart for this this image - but will be doing all the ones in the future with Cryogen paper - Tammy was so gracious to send me a couple of sheets of this to try and I love it. Thanks again, Tammy.
So a big SHOUT OUT to these three ladies - and all the rest that color so pretty with Copics! Thanks for all your inspiration.
Thanks for stopping by.............and have a great weekend.

Getting Dizzy
After looking at all the stripes and dots here I REALLY was getting a little dizzy!!! I'll be giving this to my husband next week for our anniversary. I never give him a mushy card - I mean he already knows I love him so why get all mushy about it! LOL! I also think he'd just have a stoke if he got a mushy card from me....that's just NOT ME!
I know I normally post a card on Friday - but hey, today is Thursday right! But it goes up today since I'll be out of town for a few days. Besides that, sometimes you just gotta shake things up a bit and not be so normal! You also get an additional treat today as you get to see the inside of this card!!!!
Now before you even ask........NO, I'm not taking blood pressure medication (although sometimes I probably need it!) and also this little couple (from Bugaboo) look nothing like Jim and I. His legs aren't that skinny and my hair is alot shorter!
I'll enter this in two challenges - both with the theme Stripes and Dots: City Crafter challenge (which is new to me) and Catch the Bug challenge.
Thanks for stopping by.......hope this makes you smile - and have a great weekend.

Butterfly Anniversary
I have another CAS card for you today! The challenge over at Friday Mashup is to make a square card, a black and white card, or mix them up and make it square and black and white. I didn't mix it up and just made a black and white card - but I just have to tell ya....it took every ounce of energy I had to NOT add some red or yellow or some color! I don't think I've ever made just one in black and white but do like how this one turned out. It's a fun challenge and really made me have to control myself and not add another color!
It's also for the challenge at Mark's Finest Papers - an Anniversary card. It's their one year anniversary and I thought I'd help them celebrate today!
The sketch I used was the challenge LAST week at The Paper Players. I didn't get this card done until today though so I missed their challenge but I do love the sketch. So I made another one using the same sketch that I'll be posting later.
Thanks for stopping by...............

Happiness
Hope everyone is having a very happy Wednesday! This is going to be a fairly short post but wanted to show you my card for today. It's actually a CASE of one I saw on Lucy's blog. Check out her wonderful blog and be inspired.
The stamp is from Indadinkado and is probably older than me! Not really, as there's not too much older than that!!! I colored a few of the flowers and added a couple of those tiny little pearls from SU. I stamped the image twice and popped up the bird. The patterned paper is from the Basic Grey Porcelain Paper Pad.
This will be an Anniversary card that I will need later in the month for a very special couple.
Ill be entering this in the Oldie But Goodie challenge (wedding or anniversary theme).

Door Number 1, 2, or 3
My brother in law called the other day and wanted me to make a card for him to give his wife for their 50th wedding anniversary. They will be re-newing their vows next month for this occasion. He said he wanted it (now get this) funny, cute, loving, sweet, pretty and unique! Now how do you do something funny - yet loving??? So I created two cards - same image (Bugaboo).
Ok, Door Number 1 is this first card.............I used some Cherry Cobbler, Gold (for the 50th) and white. The fuzzy looking stuff is Mulberry paper that a very dear friend (thanks Kristin) had given me a while back. It's really pretty with the little gold threads running through it. I used glitter on her dress. On the inside it says "I'm so glad we committed."
Now Door Number 2 is the second card............I used some Vanilla and Riding Hood Red on it. The little "puffy" heart was in a box of odds and ends I had. Again, I used glitter on her dress. I haven't put a sentiment on the inside so if you pick this card, give me some suggestions for that!
Door Number 3 - is NONE of the above - and yeah, Lynn, you need to go back to the drawing board!!! If you pick Door Number 3 - I would love some suggestions.
So which do you pick..........Door number 1, 2, or 3????

Butterfly Wings
Hopefully you can at least get a little "feel" for this card! I was in a hurry this morning when I took the picture (needed to get it done so I could go shopping!!!) and it just didn't come out very good. So I apologize for that. Now it's too late to take another photo as it's rainy outside. The REALLY bad news though is that I went by Michaels today and could not find a single thing I wanted to buy and they had a ton of stuff for like 40 % off! Oh well, I guess I just wasn't in the mood for shopping otherwise I would have probably done serious damage! Now, the good news is that my pocketbook dearly LOVES me today!!
Anyway, back to the card.........The layout is from Clean and Simple Stamping FTL 96. This is actually BEAUTIFUL paper......very glitterly (is that a word) and just so pretty. It's from Paper Studio Poteeka Souffle. The sentiment is from Butterfly Wings (CTMH). On the inside it says:
"It goes where is pleases and pleases where it goes". Very nice sentiment I think. This will be the anniversary for my sister in law and her husband - 51 years!!!!
Thanks for stopping by...............

ICSketches #59
Yesterday I was looking at Tami's blog and noticed her card (which is VERY cute) was made using a layout from IC Sketches. Anyway, I decided to check it out and found that I really do like this layout so thought I'd try my hand at it. Even though I'm still feeling very much "under the weather", I made this card today.
The stamp sets I used are Upsy Daisy and Teeny Tiny Wishes from SU. I used Baja Breeze, white, and Parisian Breeze DP. I stamped the Upsy Daisy image in VersaMark first, then in Baja Breeze, then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. The center of the flower was made using a clear button and Liquid Glass (CTMH) with the DP behind it. The small butterfly in the bottom corner was made with the Beautiful Wings die from SU.
Thanks for stopping by...............
