It's Tuesday Throwdown time again! Our challenge this week is to create a project with the theme "Sweet Little One". Be sure and check out the blog for all the inspiration from the DT. On sponsor, who also provided the images, is Robyn's Fetish.
I used cute little Lucy from Robyn's Fetish. Her outfit is paper pieced and then I added some gems as buttons. Even though her name is Lucy, I made the card with several colors of blue - little (and big) girls like blue too! The sentiment is from SU.
Thanks for stopping by........and check out Tuesday Thrown and enter for your chance to win a wonderful prize package from Robyn's Fetish.

Everything's Just Ducky
This isn't a rubber ducky or even a plastic ducky.....it's a nice "made to last" wooden ducky - the kind I probably had when I was a little baby. The adorable image is from Floppy Latte and was given to me because yes, in case you haven't already guessed......NO, I'm not pregnant!!!!!! It was given to me since I was recently asked to join the design team at Digi Haven and we all got an image from Floppy Latte to use on our card today!!! Head on over to Digi Haven and join in our challenge (themed Vintage or Old) and while you're there be sure and check out all the wonderful inspiration from the rest of the design team, which I might add, are a fantastic group of ladies - and one handsome gent! Oh, and prizes......yep, we have those too! Check it out.
Y'all know I don't really do vintage, but thought the yellow, that Kraft that I sponged (um...maybe overloaded it a bit on the sponging), and the old button would qualify. Notice that pink bow on the duck.....I had to add it in pink since my son and his wife will be having another little girl in a couple of months.
Head on over to Digi Haven and enter for your chance to win!

Homework
This was a "homework" assignment from the Pattern Play class that I took last week. Pretty much like what happened when I was in school and was late with my homework! Sigh! I finally decided to buckle down and see if I could manipulate some of the pattern pieces like they showed on one of the videos.
This turned out to be a CASE of one that was on the video but figured that was ok since I didn't know what I was doing. I changed the patterned paper, embossing, and image - but otherwise it's close to the same. I used some patterned paper from DCWV called Linen Closet. It's gorgeous paper (some with glitter on it too) but I had absolutely no card stock to match it. I didn't realize this though until I got all the strips of paper cut out!!! Figures! Anyway, I put all the pieces together and this is what came out - not perfect, but at least I got all the strips on the card.
I picked this SU image to use and then added the "welcome, little one" and got to thinking......this is pretty tacky putting a HIPPO on a baby card!! I mean, I sure wouldn't want some brand new mother or dad to think that I thought their baby was as big as a Hippo! LOL! I think maybe I need to change that sentiment to Happy Birthday or something!

Baby Buggy
This is just a short post - and a clean and simple baby card I made. The image is from Hero Art Baby Love set and the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes (SU). As a change of pace I used my Water Color pencils and Aqua Painter for the coloring on the image. My main problem here was trying to get a good picture of this! I finally ended up using a black back-drop. When I tried to use white behind the card, I just kept having parts of the card disappear due to my lighting I guess.
I really like the image and used it on the baby announcements my daughter requested a couple of years ago. I DID have alot of help on those announcements though as I was just learning how to stamp (still am, as I think
I learn something new every day about this craft).
I'll enter this in the challenges at The Paper Players (C&S Sketch) and Clear It Out Challenge (C&S).
Thanks for stopping by..........(and I MAY be back tomorrow with another Funny Friday-so stay tuned!)

Special Baby
No Friday Funny today (sorry!) but I wanted to show you a baby card I made for a very special little girl named Sabrina.
A former co-worker of mine who is in her late 40's just had her first baby several weeks ago and they named her Sabrina. She was born with a hole in her chest and parts of her intestines, her liver, etc....floated up through that hole and into one of her lungs. They operated early last week and miracle upon miracles have occurred!! Sabrina is doing well now and trying to learn how to feed. She's still on some IV but is now breathing on her own. Hopefully they'll get to bring her home soon! It just never ceases to amaze me what doctors can do now.
The cute little bear that I colored in Prisma Pencils is from the SU set Teddy and Train. I used several different colors of pink and the sketch is an old one from SCS. Excuse that wonky little bow...I just could not get it to lay right on the card. I know this is a very simple card but am hoping mom and dad like it.
Maybe next week I'll do another "Friday Funny"! ( I know every one is just holding their breath for that! LOL!!!)
Thanks for stopping by..........and have a great weekend.

Hello Baby
I hadn't made a baby type card is like forever....so thought I'd do that today!
I used some Marina Mist, Tangerine Tango, and Crumb Cake and since it makes a pretty bright card for a little baby, toned it down some by adding the organza and then the satin ribbon. The stamp set is called Choo-Choo from SU. After cutting out the little train cars I popped them up on dimensionals. Even though you can't tell it without clicking to get a bigger picture, I used a SU texturz plate on the background blue. Those texturz plates really give the card a nice look in real life, but don't always show very well in a photo - or maybe I should just say in MY photos!
This is for the challenge over at Friday Mashup. It's a sketch challenge and/or a color challenge. Love this sketch and I know I'll be using is again and again. Check out their challenge today and be inspired by all the wonderful cards from the DT.

Small Wonder
I REALLY struggled with this little baby card. After having to make so many baby and children's card the last few weeks, I swore I would not make another one for at least a month. BUT the free digi from Designed2Delight for the progressive challenge came up and this was the image. After much moaning and groaning, I created yet another baby card. I tried to come up with maybe a Valentine's Day card, but it just wasn't happening........So, you get to see a baby card instead! And I'll already have at least one card made when I get another order for more children and baby cards!
This is close to a CASE that I saw on SCS for another image but I just can't remember who had the layout, etc. I used Pretty in Pink, White, and some background paper from Paper Studio. The sentiment is from Whimsical Words (SU). I added little pearls to the bow on the bear (I colored and then cut this out from a different image) and around the scalloped oval punch. The pearls are just the best!!! They are SO very tiny but fit perfect. I just recently got them from SU. There are different sizes but this little ones were just what I needed.

Baby Blue
No, we're not talking about the George Strait song.......we're talking about a baby boy card!
The theme for the challenge at Always Playing With Paper is "O Baby" (to create a project for baby). I needed to replenish my stash on baby cards and this was the perfect opportunity. Stop by Always Playing With Paper and see what the wonderful DT has created! This is also another card for the CAS-Tastic challenge (the layout) - see the previous post of the Thanksgiving Day card. This time, I turned the sketch on its side. As I said yesterday, it's just a very nice layout.
The stamp set I used for the image and the sentiment is Teddy and Train from SU. I used my Swiss Dots Embossing folder on White and then some Brocade Blue CS. I colored the little bear with Prisma pencils. Of course (as always) the bow was made using the Bow-Easy. I then added the little pearls. I mean, hey, you can have pearls on a card for a little boy too, right!!

Aboard the Baby Train
I was getting pretty low on my stash of "Baby cards" and figured I'd better get some made pretty quick.
The train image is from Teddy and Train and the sentiment from Warm Words - both SU products. I used Brocade Blue, White and Brocade Blue DP. As always, I didn't have a button the right color so I used a clear button and Liquid Glass with some Brocade Blue card stock. I colored the little train with Prismacolor Pencils.

Baby Boy Card
I haven't made a baby card in a long time, so thought I'd use the Mojo Sketch Week 119 and create a baby boy card. I colored the little bear with my PrismaPencils and used the gamsol magic technique. I'd REALLY like to get some of the Copics but they are just so costly (I may look into that though this coming year).
The stamp is from the SU set Teddy and Train and I used Bashful Blue, Brocade Blue, and white cardstock. The DP is from Flair Designs. I used my Labels 3 Nesties and the Swiss Dots Embossing folder - dimensionals, a crochet flower, satin ribbon and YES, you guessed it - the Bow Easy (again).
Thanks for stopping by...........
