Getting Married at All Dressed Up

Today is my inspiration post for All Dressed Up using one of the new images you can find in the store.  Be sure and check out the All Dressed Up challenge blog for the current challenge going on and to see all the inspiration from the DT.  Also take a peek at the Etsy shop and see all the new - and old images.  You'll love each and every one of them!

I used To Have and To Hold and think this would make either a perfect wedding or anniversary card.  I kept the coloring to a bare minimum and even though you probably can't see it, went over her entire gown in the Wink of Stella pen.  The embossing was completed with a SU embossing folder.  The organza ribbon 'tied the knot'.

Thanks for stopping by and head on over to All Dressed Up!

Wedding Wishes

I refrained from making another Valentine's Day card and made a wedding card instead! Very clean and simple but this embossing folder gives it an elegant look I think. When I first spied this folder at Hobby Lobby I kept thinking - "Um...will I even ever use it or am I just buying it because it's on sale"! I've used it ALOT! Certain images just fit perfect in it and I really like it.

This image is from the Blissful Bride stamp set from SU. I added some of the tiny little pearls to the bow on the dress and then added some of the larger ones below the image. The organza ribbon is actually blue but looks more of an aqua color in the photo.

I'll be entering this in the challenge at Creative Inspirations Paint for the theme, Inspired by Bling. Now some may think that pearls are not actually considered "bling"! But I do. Plus I researched it a little on the old computer and yes....we've got "bling" here folks!!!

Thanks for stopping by..........

Black amd White CAS

I never realized exactly how many shades of white there were! Serious! On this card, we have white cardstock, white ribbon, and white (with black) DP. I really think all three "whites" are different.........Weird! This is probably the very first truly all white and black card I've ever made. I get one almost completed and always end up adding some type of other color to it. On this one, it was all I could do not to put a different colored brad in the center of that little flower. Anyway, I like how the card turned out - with the exception of all the different shades of white. I think that shows up more in the photo though than it does in real life!

This was for the SCS CAS61 (Monday) - Just mainly a sentiment. I don't have any "newlywed" cards made up so decided to use this simple sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes. The little flower was made with the scallop punch from SU. I punched out 10 of them - in alternating black and white prints - scrunched them up a bit and placed the brad in the center.
