One Last Wabbit

One last Wabbit before Easter.  Whether you celebrate Easter or not, I hope you have a great day.

This Wabbit is from Gerda Steiner Designs and he's such a cutie.   I love all his little eggs lined up beside him.  CAS card using a die from My Favorite Things, colored in Copics, a few clouds sponged in the background,  and mounted on a piece of patterned paper.

Have a nice Easter and a nice weekend.

A Couple of Rabbits

Gosh, here it is April and almost Easter already.  Not sure where all the time goes......but it's going.  It won't be too much longer and we'll be sitting here making cards for Christmas.

The rabbit is a wood mounted stamp that I've had forever from Inkydinkydo.  It's so old the rubber has come off the block and I have it in a little clear plastic sleeve to keep it together.  It's one of those stamps that's so easy to use, minimal coloring, and cute.  I probably paid a dollar for it at Michaels or somewhere like that but still like using it for cards and especially at Easter.   I just paired these with some paper scraps  from maybe My Favorite Things,    Git 'er done cards.

White Shoes and Easter

When I was young (many moons ago) my mom would never ever allow us to wear white shoes until Easter Sunday.  That was the day we'd break out the white patent leathers and get all dolled up for Easter.  We also couldn't wear white shoes after Labor Day in September either.  It didn't matter the weather and if it was 108 degrees outside, after Labor Day you did NOT wear white shoes.....or white pants either.  You just had to wait it out until Easter Sunday.

So............that's why this little chick from Jan's Digi Shop is all decked out in white shoes (and besides that, they're easier to color too)!  I saw this image the other day and thought it was just the cutest and knew I had to have it.  There's a couple of images of the chick and it also comes in black and white or colored - plus several sentiments.  I decided to do it in black and white and then colored her in Copics.

I'll enter this in Jan's Digi Shop Challenge - Anything Goes

It's not too early for Easter cards is it?  I guess that's kinda skipping over Valentine's Day right now but I just imagine by next month all the store will start selling decorations for Halloween or Christmas!

Thanks for stopping by.......and keep smiling!

Some Bunny

We have another challenge starting today over at Jan's Digi Stamps Challenge.  It's always an Anything Goes challenge which makes it super easy to play along.  You could be a winner to and receive some wonderful images from Jan's shop so be sure and come on over and enter your card or project.
Note:  A couple of changes will with the April challenge next month.  First of all we'll be doing two random draws...one for those using one of Jan's digi's and one for everyone else.  We'll also be going to a monthly challenge instead of twice a month.  This will give you a longer time to submit your entry.

I've used one of her new releases called Cottontail.   Isn't that a cute little bunny!  I used the pre-colored version but it also comes in black and white - along with some cool looking and pretty Easter eggs.  Be sure and check out the set of images and I know you'll fall in love with them.  I printed the image and sentiment on some linen type paper, added the little "cotton tail",  and that was about it.  Makes for a cute card though.  The patterned paper is from Lawn Fawn.

Chick-en In - 2 Crafty Critter Crazies

Just "chick-en in" with this peep card for the 2 Crafty Critter Crazies challenge.  It's an Anything Goes challenge as always - as long as you use some type of critter on your card or project.  We;re being sponsored by Jan's Digi Shop.  Be sure and check out all the wonderful images from there.

I used Awesome Chick from Jan's Digi Shop for my card today.  I'm slowly (VERY slowly) trying to use up some of my patterned paper and was able to use a little bit on this card - along with some Kraft card stock.

Be sure and enter your card or project for our challenge for a chance to win.

Toodling Along

No matter what I do I can't seem to get a good picture of anything these days.  This was taken with my phone and looks pretty washed out.  It is what it is though since it's  already in the mail.  Then to top it all off, the program I use to edit my photos on the computer freezes up every time I try to use it.  Then it snowballs.....turn off the computer, can't get it turned off, finally get it turned off and then can't get it to come on, get it to come on and it goes back to that same program that froze it initially!  Grrrrrrrr.............WHY do I even deal with this mess!

Anyway, the images are from My Favorite Things.  The purple in the background was done with some of the Pearl Alcohol inks.  Some sort of technique that I tried the other day.

Happy Easter

This is one of similar cards I sent out for Easter this year.  I'm going to be missing until sometime next week so just wanted to tell everyone to have a happy Easter if you celebrate.  The rabbit and butterfly are from Gerda Steiner stamps and the flower pot is from Memory Box.

Thanks for stopping by............(and yes, I DID eat those jelly beans - and a whole lot more)!

It's A Bunny

I try to make at least one Easter card every year using this cute little guy from Inkadinkado.  I've always loved those l-o-n-g ears.  Easter will be here before we know it....and that means springtime and pretty weather!  YEA!

I used some stitched circles from Lil Inker and a cloud die (that I embossed after cutting) from Lawn Fawn.  The background clouds were made with a stencil I made and I used distress ink for them.  The "ground" is a piece of gingham and used the hillside borders from Lawn Fawn.  The sentiment is from Memory Box.

I followed the sketch from CAS Colours and Sketches so will enter it in their challenge.  I'd also like to enter this into Cute Card Thursday (anything goes) and 2 Crafty Critter Crazies.

Two Plus Two Plus Two

Two little rabbits, two little hearts, and this will be headed to two beautiful little granddaughters.  They even have a pet rabbit too.... but only one and not two.

The image is from Gerda Steiner Designs and I'll be entering it in their monthly challenge.   I used a Mama Elephant frame die and a Lawn Fawn grass die.  The clouds were made using a homemade stencil with distress ink and the sentiment is an older one from Mark's Finest Papers.

Easter Trio

It's almost Easter and the bunnies are hopping all over the place.  Instead of doing three separate posts for my Easter cards, I decided to do them all at once and be done with it.  Lazy?  Not really - just easier.  Um......

This first card is done with stamps from Memory Box.  Cute little bunnies, a bit of grass, some sky, and sequins finished this up.  I almost thought that one sequin was an egg hiding in the grass.

Sometimes my mind works in mysterious ways - but for some reason I thought this would look really good on gray cardstock.  I'm having a few seconds thoughts on that now.  Anyway, the original card didn't have the little bunny on it, but then I figured, why not.  I'm still practicing on watercoloring and this was the results on one of my attempts.  The image is from Close to My Heart and the sentiment from Mark's Finest Papers.

The last of the litter for my post.....  This is a stamp from Stampin' Up that a blogging friend was able to get for me.  It was love at first sight on this stamp and this is maybe the second time I've used it.  What can I say?  Another attempt at watercoloring and a very clean and simple design.

Thanks for stopping by........and have a wonderful weekend.

Peek-A-Boo Squared

I know y'all are probably getting tired of seeing this Peek-A-Boo die from MFT, but it was still sitting on my craft table so I used it once again.  (I AM putting it up for a little while now though - maybe!)  I used it a little different on this card mainly because I didn't want to have to cut into that green polka dot paper - and mess it up like I'm inclined to do.  I figured I'd probably cut it crooked and it was my last scrap.  So, I cut the frame and then squared it out.  I'm still undecided if I like it that way though.

Anyway, moving right along......I used a brand new set of stamps from Memory Box (Springtime Bunnies) and a new scalloped frame die from Pretty Pink Posh.  Let's see......I colored the image with Copics, did some sponging, added a LF grass die and a tiny pink heart, and then slapped on some glossy accents and Wink of Stella.  That pretty much sums it up.

I'll enter this in the challenges at Pixie's Crafty Workshop (Snippets) and will also throw my name in the mix over at Darnell's NBUS challenge.   Two fun challenges.

Early or Late?

The jury is still out on this one as to whether I like it or not.  AND.....I'm either a little late for Easter or really, really early!  At least I'll have it done for next year though.

I used some of my grade school watercolors (sorta like the ones we used way back when) to do a color wash behind the image and then colored the image with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and water.  I'm thinking the colors on the image are a little too intense for the background wash but then again, maybe not.  It is what it is though.  The image is from Mark's Finest Papers and a tiny butterfly and sequin were added.

I'll also take this card over to the Watercolor Blog Hop that's being sponsored by Pretty Pink Posh.

Happy Easter

Just a really quick card for Easter using From the Heart image for their progressive challenge.

I'm here, but not really - if that makes any sense.   Thanks to all for the well wishes for Jim recently.  I'm still very hit and miss around here but will try to post a card ever so often anyway.  He was released from the hospital and then ended up having to go back in for several more days.  He's back home once again but things are just crazy busy taking care of him (and myself) and trying to get everything moving forward once again.  There's just no way to get by everyone's blog every day right now but will be by when I can.  Have patience with me for now.

Thanks for stopping by........and thanks so much for your treasured friendship!

Happy Easter

I've scheduled this post (and hope it goes as planned).  I'm so sorry I haven't been around lately.  The entire year hasn't been good and it just got worse last week.  Life really threw us a curve ball this time.  I'll be back to visit when I can.  It's just pretty crazy right now.

Scrapy Land Challenges is back once again and this time our theme is Spring/Easter.  Be sure and play along for your chance to win.   Remember to use one of the brands of dies that's found in the Scrapy Land store.

I've used several different dies on my card today:
Memory Box - Twiggy Tree
Lawn Fawn - Grass
Impression Obsession - Bunnies
Spellbinders - Traced off inside of small oval die for eggs.

Thanks for stopping by.....and check out Scrapy Land Challenges.

Bunny Time

Just a quick and easy little bunny card for today!  I love this rabbit!  He's from Inkadinkado and I have no idea how he got in my craft room!  You know what they say about rabbits though and all the multiplying they do, so I assume he's an offspring of a larger bunny somewhere.

Some very bright pink polka dotted paper, a little sky sponging, ribbon, heart, and grass die - and he's done.  l also used a tag die from Lawn Fawn but chopped it off a bit at the bottom.  This is for Leslie's (The Crooked Stamper) challenge for this month.  This is only her second challenge and she scored again with another wonderful sketch to follow.  I changed the oval to the rectangle for my card.

I'll also enter this is Pixie's Crafty Workshop challenge (snippets).

Thanks for stopping by.............

Two Chubby Bunnies

Hi everyone!  This first little bunny is from All Dressed Up and what a wonderful little guy he is!  He's a new image that you can find in the All Dressed Up SHOP along with so many others!  Hop on over to the blog and see all the new images and join in on our current challenge.  You must use an All Dressed Up image but there's free ones on the blog if you don't have any OR you can always drop a few in your Easter basket from the store!

I used two different patterned papers on this and colored the bunny by just outlining him with a Copic and using chalk for the inside of his ear.  No way could I never color this little guy like the next one you're going to see. The grass was stamped with a Lawn Fawn stamp and then I die cut a couple of little clouds to add to the picture.  Now, on to the second chubby bunny...................

Can everyone say Ahhhhhhhhh....at the same time!  Isn't this little baby adorable!  Jim was mowing in a field close to the house the other day and came really close to smoking this little one out completely!  LOL!  He called to come running with the camera.  I really thought he had a 6 foot long rattlesnake or something.  But no, he had this little baby rabbit that was in the way of the mower.  I'm just thankful he saw it.  Pretty cute, right!

Be sure and hop on over to All Dressed Up!

Thanks for stopping by..........and hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Stringing Easter Eggs

We're having another challenge over at Digi Haven starting today and would love to see you submit your entry for a chance to win a wonderful prize package from our sponsor Di's Digis!!    Our theme this time is Easter and use the color brown somewhere on your creation!  Be sure and stop by the blog for all the details on this challenge and see all the inspiration from the design team.

Isn't she a cute little girl!  I love her Easter hat and that colorful string of eggs.  She's from Whimsey Doodles. She's colored with Copics and then cut out and popped up.  I added a few sequins and tied a piece of twine around that scrap paper banner.  I added some Wink of Stella to various parts of the eggs.  This is mounted on Kraft card stock.

I'll enter this in the challenge at Pixie's Crafty Workshop - that is, if they'll still have me!  It's been way too long since I played along in their wonderful challenges.  I used snippets of twine, patterned paper, and the little girl.

Be sure and check out our Easter with Brown challenge at Digi Haven and play along!

The Cat in the Egg

Y'all really thought I was talking about The Cat in the Hat - right!  Nope, today we have the cat in the egg!  She's from Deedee's Digis and if you played along last month in the progressive challenge you've already received this image.  If you didn't play along, it's ok because you can purchase this adorable set and enter this month - and then next month you'll receive a free image!  This set not only has the cute cat but also a little hen......plus they not only have the line version like I used but also the pre-colored ones....plus sentiments galore.  Are there enough "plus's" to all that!  Stop by Deedees Digis and you can find the challenge and the shop all in one place!!!  We'd love to see you enter this month!

Instead of using the pre-colored one this time, I decided to use the line version and color it myself in Copics.  I also added a little strip of rhinestones to the egg and then used the Wink of Stella pen on the pink polka dots.  She's framed out in a Lil Inker die and then popped up on the polka dot patterned paper.  This will go to one of the granddaughters for Easter since it's loaded with pink and the rhinestones.

Not sure if I need to clean my computer screen or not - but all that white is motley looking to me!  Reflection, dirty screen, bad photographer, or what!  If you're seeing what I'm seeing I need ideas on how to fix that one!

Easter Wishes

This sweet looking little girl doesn't have a name! I started to name her Sadie, as she reminds me on my daughter's youngest child. Sadie doesn't have brown hair though (she's totally blond) and if it was Sadie she'd probably be choking that poor bunny to death! So, she has no name - but is a very cute stamp from Eureka.

I colored her with Prisma pencils and used several pastel shades of card stock. The DP is Pawistively from SU. I also added some Stickles on the little bunny tail. Other supplies I used were the Swiss Dots embossing folder, buttons, baker's twine, and ribbon! Whew....alot going on here!

I'll be entering this in challenges over at Card Cupids (pastels), Catch the Bug Blog (inspired by Easter), and Karen's Doodles (lots of layers).

Thanks for stopping by......and hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.
