Mother's Day Roses
I got out my Simon Says Stamp May card kit and started playing around again with all the goodies. Since all the papers, stamps, etc. are in the kit already, it seemed to come together pretty easy. I lightly stamped a few tiny hearts on the side panel, colored the roses with Copics, and then cut them out and mounted them on an oval and lacy oval nestie. The sentiment cut out was also in the kit. I think this will be a perfect card for Mother's Day and will be sending it to my daughter (even though it's going to get there a day late).
I'll enter this in the challenge at Tuesday Throwdown (My Mother, My Friend)
If you celebrate Mother's Day on Sunday, hope you have a wonderful day!

No Button Bits
I think it's PTI that has a set out called Everyday Button Bits. Ever since I saw this stamp set I've wanted it - but haven't bought it. I keep thinking - "Do I REALLY need it?" Anyway, I probably do need it (LOL) however, I haven't bought it. BUT, last week I was in Hobby Lobby and found this little image called Flower Garden from Stampabilities. Yes, I can add buttons to those little flowers!!!
I stamped the image twice after coloring it with SU markers. Buttons were added to three of the little flowers. The paper I used was Pretty in Pink and white. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes (SU).

This actually qualifies for several different challenges: Clean and Simple, CAS and SCS, and Cowgirl Sunday. Whew! I've NEVER done one card for three challenges!!

Bouquet for Mother's Day
This is a bouquet of flowers for all the mothers out there! I know it's a bit early for Mother's Day but I wanted to wish each and every one of you a beautiful day.
This image was printed out - then printed out again - and then again! I first colored it in the yellow/orange with my Copics. Ok, it looked pretty good. Then I colored one in the light pink with my Prismacolor pencils. Hey, it looks pretty good too. Now, let's try the Copics again - so I colored the darker pink one! WOW! They ALL looked pretty good. But I only needed one card! So I decided to use all three for the bouquet! I "popped" up each flower a little higher using dimensionals to give it some depth. The flower image was a free digital from
Jessica Lynn Original that you can find here. This is only the 2nd time I've used my Copics and the image was so nice to practice my coloring on. The sentiment is from Tenny Tiny Wishes by SU. I used White and Pixie Pink card stock. The DP is from some I had in my stash. I also added a tiny bit of glitter to some of the petals to give it some oomph!
