"Life" just DOES NOT understand the situation around here!!! It keeps getting in my way and doesn't allow me to do what I want to do. I know I can't be the only one this is happening to, but as a result I feel like I'm forcing myself to make a card just so I'll have something to post - and I hate that feeling! So, I've REBELLED!!
If you don't see me around for several days it just means one of several things....Life got in the way, I didn't feel like creating, or was just plum lazy!! LOL! I've been trying for the last three days to get back in my craft room and it hasn't happened yet (maybe tomorrow). I kept thinking....ok, I gotta come up with a Funny Friday....since I haven't done one in a while. Well, I'm old and retired so I shouldn't HAVE to do anything unless I want, right!!! LOL So, what I'm going to show you today is a card that I created a couple of weeks ago........and MAYBE, just MAYBE I'll get something flowing around here soon........IF life doesn't get in the way again!
This is a card I created for a Penny Black challenge - a couple of weeks ago! Don't know why it never got posted. A LOT of dots and spots on here for sure! I think I never got it entered in the challenge because I wanted to put a slightly larger bow on here.....but (gasp) had no white ribbon in the size I was looking for (and I'm the one that has ribbon running out her ears.....guess I need more)!!
I'll enter this in the challenge at Art Impressions - Seeing Spots!
Anyway, sorry for all the ranting and raving.......and hopefully I'll be back around with something just sensational (LOL) this weekend......but if not, it's just NOT!
Thanks for stopping by...............

{Pin}spirational Challenge #9
I'm very excited to tell everyone that I've been invited to be a Design Team member for {Pin}spirational Challenges! I'm really thinking this is going to be a "'challenge to myself" as I usually have a hard time with color or inspirational challenges! Have a little patience with me on this adventure! LOL
I love the {Pin}spirational photo for this challenge - it just looks so summery and yummy! Our sponsor is Deidre Mosher who creates very cute images. Come on over to {Pin}spirational Challenges and enter your creation......I know you'll have fun,. You'll also be very inspired by all the DT's creations!
I used a Hero Arts image along with some SU card stock and some unknown brand of DP. I focused on the pinks in the photo - but you could also add a little yellow and orange to make it more yummy looking. The sentiment is also from SU. I followed the Sweet Stop sketch for this week and will enter it in their challenge too. Even though you can't see it in the photo, I used a Stardust glitter pin on the image and it really makes it shine. The cherry was covered with Liquid Glass (CTMH).
Check out this inspiration photo.........Yummy, right!!!
IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR MY SHOPPING OUR STASH POST, IT'S DIRECTLY BELOW THIS ONE.
Thanks for stopping by.........and be sure and head on over to {Pin}spirational Challenges and enter your creation.

Shopping Our Stash Challenge and Blog Candy Winner
Hi again! Our challenge at Shopping our Stash is themed May Flowers - anything floral related will work. You can use paper with flowers on it, flower embellishments, or just whatever suits your fancy - as long as it's floral related! Couldn't be easier. Be sure and dig into your stash and see what you can come up with that you haven't used in a while!
This cute little Bugaboo image is SO ME!! Instead of flowers sitting on top of my head though I probably have veggies! Our garden is in full swing now (except for tomatoes which aren't quite ready) and I've been super busy canning. I just finished putting up 48 jars of pickles! Yikes! I think we're good to go on that for awhile.
Anyway, back to my card......I used some unknown DP on here - don't even really know where it came from. It seems to multiply back there in my craft room for some reason. I also used Pacific Point and Pumpkin Pie. The image is from OCL.
Oh, and by the way...................We have a BLOG CANDY winner....JEANETTE!
Jeanette, I'll get your "candy" in the mail as soon as possible!
Thanks again to everyone for leaving such nice comments on my post!
Thanks for stopping by..............and check out the Shopping Our Stash challenge and enter your creation!

Just Not Me
Black and orange is SO not me!!! When my son was playing football, their rival schools colors were black and orange - didn't like it then and don't like it now! LOL! But, when I saw the inspiration photo over at {Pin}spirational Challenges I thought I'd play along. I kept thinking "Halloween" but just was not ready to even think about making a card for that, so.......here's what I came up with.
Using the sketch from Mojo Monday, your now have a black and white card with orange butterflies on it! You're probably thinking you've never seen an orange butterfly..... but now you've seen three of them!! And yes....THIS time I even fluffed out the wings on those butterflies! I really don't know what difference that makes though because once you stick it in an envelope to be mailed they're going to get squashed down again! Guess I'll just have to tell who ever I send this card to, to be sure and fluff them back out. Pretty self explanatory on all the stuff for this card for the challenges at {Pin}spirational and Mojo Monday.
Thanks for stopping by........and hope everyone has a great weekend.

Creative Belli Challenge #144
Belli Challenges is themed "Weddings" beginning today and running for the next two weeks! Come on over and join in and you may be our next guest designer! Wait until you see all the wonderful inspiration by the design team members too! On your entry to our challenge, be sure and use your old and forgotten embellishments!
I've already said I don't do many baby cards anymore - and wedding cards are on that list too I'm afraid! This one is very simple with an image from SU called Blissful Bride. I punched out a tiny flower in Pretty In Pink and added a pearl to the center of the sash on the dress and also added several below the sentiment. The ribbon is some pinkish sheer ribbon that I hoard because I love it so much. Guess I need to start looking for more now.
Thanks for stopping by.......and be sure and check out the Belli Challenge today!

Spotted Owl
I got this entire card completed, snapped a photo of it, and decided the sentiment looked a little strange! It actually says "just to say hellO", not "just to say hell" and a button! Although sometimes we probably want to say that instead of hello LOL! Ah, what's done is done!
This is an image from Studio G that was in some blog candy I won and am just now getting around to using. It's a cute little owl - especially with his spindly legs! I paper pierced it in some new SU paper and added glitter to his eyes along with the googles. I already had a piece of the red polka dot paper laying on my desk so figured I might as well use some of that too. He was popped up on dimensionals and I sponged in a little sky behind him.
I'll enter this in the challenge at The Paper Players (Clean and Simple and Polka Dots) and Sentimental Sundays (Whimsical).
Short post here ------but thanks for stopping by..........

No Hot Pants Here
Now, my title really doesn't have much to do with this card, except you'll never see Miss Eunice (Art Impression) here in anything but her little white skirt, polka dot blouse, and tennis!
Now, on to the reason of the Hot Pants title! Before you go out and buy some of those things, please heed this warning:
I just read in the paper this week where Hot Pants (VERY short, short-shorts) are the latest rage. Let me tell ya from experience.....You DO NOT want to wear those things! Trust me on this! Back in the 60's or 70's (Yikes) when they first appeared on the fashion scene, I got several pair of them and thought I was probably the cutest thing out there (probably was) - and I even had the figure for them! But, I'm a firm believer like the lady that wrote the article said - NO ONE under the age of 5 should wear them! What happens is that you bend over in a pair of those babies, and everything just sorta rolls out - tummy, legs, butt....I mean everything. And then you stand back up and you give yourself a dandy of a WEDGIE and have to tuck everything back in!!!
Anyway.....Miss Eunice doesn't have to worry about them! I followed the sketch from Sketch Saturday and used some SU paper. A lot of red and white here but when it comes to mixing and matching DP, I just seem to break out in a sweat and my mind gets totally confused. I paper pieced her blouse, did a little stitching around the edges of the card., and popped her up on dimensionals.
I'll enter this in the challenge at Sketch Saturday (Sketch).
Thanks for stopping by........and if you go shopping this weekend, watch out for those Hot Pants!
Have a great weekend and Keep Smiling...........

A Couple of Bucks
Just a very CAS card for you on this Thursday afternoon! The sketch is from Paper Smooches Sparks and it's one that you can do several different things with I think. I thought about doing some paper strips up at the top and then decided to just do Baker's Twine instead. The little deer and sentiment are from Santa Paws (Paper Smooches). Of course, a little bling along with the money is always a plus too.
I'll enter this is the challenge at Paper Smooches Sparks (Sketch), Simon Says Stamp (Clean and Simple), and Kaboodle Doodles (Clean and Simple).
Thanks for stopping by..........and I'll have a Fun Friday tomorrow!

Happy Birthday SOS
Shopping Our Stash is having a birthday celebration!! We're turning one year old and so excited about this! In order to pass our happiness on to you, we're having a BINGO challenge that will run for two weeks instead of the normal one week - so you'll have plenty of time to join in and enter your creation! Remember to use up some of that stash!
I used the second horizontal row across (Glitter, Pearls, Distress, Blue, and Flower) but you can go horizontal, vertical or cross ways for your creation. I used an old CTMH butterfly image, glittered it up added some dimensionals, and then added the pearls. This was mounted on a nestie that I've actually never used before but have had for about 6 months now! I used a gold pen to outline the white one (thanks to Donna and Carol for this tip). I also used the Tulip embossing folder from SU that I think I've only used once before.....and last, but not least.......the flower! Yikes! I've had some pieces of vellum that were given to me SO LONG AGO and have never, ever used any of it. I punched out the flower and then distressed a little around the edges and then added the "greenery" and a big pearl! I also did a little distressing around the edge of the card stock and the nestie.
ALSO.....along with our challenge at Shopping our Stash, several of the DT will be offering BLOG CANDY!!! This includes me too! Yeah! I'm not even going to show you a picture of it.....it's going to be a SURPRISE BLOG CANDY! The only thing you have to do to be entered into my drawing is to leave a comment on my blog - If you enter the SOS challenge, leave a second comment and I'll enter your name twice. EASY!! I'll pick a winner and announce it on my May 29th post so be sure and check back on that date to see if you won. Check out all the DT members blogs to see who else is offering candy and their wonderful creations!
Thanks for stopping by......and be sure and enter your creation in our Bingo challenge at Shopping Our Stash.

Happy Mom's Day
I know I'm a day early, but just wanted to say Happy Mother's Day!
I did a little distressing on this card and used an image from Fabulous Florets. I used some Certainly Celery and Hollyhock ICTMH) along with Very Vanilla and some DP from Basic Grey. I keep hoarding this paper from Basic Grey (Porcelain Paper Pack) and finally decided to use at least a couple of sheets. The flowers have been cut out and popped up with a pearl in the center. I also added some addition small pearls in two of the corners. The ribbon is Cherry Cobbler seam binding.
I'll enter this in the challenges at Peachy Keen (Sketch), Lollipop Crafts (Mama Mia), Love to Create (For Mom), Celebrate the Occasion (Mother's Day), Delightful Challenges (Distressing), and Tuesday Throwdown (Motherly Love).
Thanks for stopping by .......... and have a wonderful weekend.

You're an Eleven
I've had two computers get zapped by lightening since I've lived here - so this is going to be short and sweet since we're having storms in the area and I really need to disconnect this baby!
This is somewhat of a CASE of a card I saw on Pinterest recently (from SCS). I LOVE Pinterest and am always "pinning" pretties - and then don't do anything more. I've decided to start CASEing a few - so look out! I know I was due up for another Funny Friday today - but it just didn't happen.....maybe next week.
I punched ten circles (SU punch) in Temping Turquoise and Chocolate Chip and placed them (hopefully) in rows. I added a sentiment from SU and a couple different colors Baker's Twine - and it was completed.
Nothing fancy at all....and it really makes me sad when I see so much wonderful inspiration from everyone's beautiful cards and then I come up with a bunch of punched circles! LOL! Um.......But, it was fun to do and also a quickie!
Thanks for stopping by............and have a wonderful weekend.

Babies and Belli
The theme of our challenge at Creative Belli beginning today is themed Babies/New Arrivals. Be sure and check out the challenge blog and enter your creation - who knows....you could be our next Guest Designer. Let's see some of your old and forgotten embellishments! While there, also see all the inspiration from the DT.
If you've followed my blog for a while you know I NEVER post cards for babies or new arrivals! A while back I was making cards for a baby store (that has since recently closed down) and had to make so many new baby type cards. I have an entire drawer with nothing but baby images.....and never use them anymore. By the time the store shut down I was so tired of making cards for babies I thought I'd scream!!! That's why you never see me post baby cards! I really need to get all those images out though and start using some.
This is a Hero Arts image that came in a set of four different "new arrivals" images. Cute image and I've made a ton of cards using this set. I used a punch that I very seldom use and added lots of pearls, etc. I have no idea where this paper came from but it fit the image!
Thanks for stopping by.......and be sure and check out the Creative Belli Challenge.

Saying Hello
It's time again for another challenge over at Shopping Our Stash!!! The challenge this week is to use three (or more) design papers on your creations! Easy, right! So come on over and submit your entry! Be sure and check out all the DT members creations AND remember to use up some of that stash!
I recently cleaned out some in my craft room and tossed a whole bunch of scrap paper but these three strips of paper didn't see the trash can! Thank goodness! The paper is some from a paper pack that I got oh so long ago (Real Red) and I just didn't have the heart to chunk it. But sadly, this is the last of the litter I think.
A clean and simple card for sure. The sentiment is from Hero Arts Everyday Sayings. I added some red rhinestones and the ribbon, Bakers Twine, and a long lost butterfly.
Thanks for stopping by...........and be sure and check out Shopping Our Stash and enter your creation!

A Saturday Butterfly
Thought I'd flutter by (pun intended) today and show you a card I made with the Flores Suaves butterfly image from SU. I stamped the image in Versa Mark and black, used clear embossing powder, and then heat embossed. Mr. (or Ms.) butterfly was then sponged using some Summer Sun and Bashful Blue (I stamped the butterfly twice, cutting out one and popping it up over the other image.) A swatch of ribbon was added behind the image. The blue corners were made with a very old punch that's been collecting dust forever. LOL!
In the photo that white embossed piece keeps looking like it has beige colored smudges on it. I keep holding the card under the light and there are no smudges....um.....guess it's maybe the reflection off my background or something.....Pretend it's snow white - because it really is!
I'll enter this in the challenges at Clean and Simple Stamping (sketch), Flourishes (Butterflies), Clearly I Stamp (What goes up, must come down), Fussy and Fancy Challenge (Butterflies, Ribbon, Punches - Mine's not very fussy or fancy but I did use all three), and Crafty Calendar (Things with Wings).
Thanks for stopping by.......and hope everyone has a great weekend.

She's a Star
This is a quick little card I made for my granddaughter Lily. She's involved in something called DI (Destination Imagination) in school and she and her team recently won at the State level and will be going to Tennessee later on this month to compete in the Global competition. Of course I'm so very proud of her - and her team.
She loves the bling - like all little girls that are 11 going on 20 - but don't give her anything with pink on it! So I did the stars in all different colors - but certainly NO PINK! The sentiment is from SU. She really is a magnificent little girl - I know I'm a tad prejudice but that's ok too!
Thanks for stopping by..............

Shopping Our Stash
I'm so excited to let everyone know I was invited to be one of the Design Team members over at Shopping Our Stash - and gladly accepted!
The challenge we have this week is themed Mother's Day - or - Girly. Be sure and check out the blog and enter your creation - remember, to use some of your "stash"!
I don't think I'm an exception when I say I have too much STUFF! So for my card today I used some old CTMH paper that I've never used before...both the blue card stock and the patterned paper. I'm not real sure why I've never used it before since it's such a pretty pattern and color. I believe it was called Dutch Blue. Anyway, the image is from the Simply Soft set (SU) - and I've never inked it up before either! It's a two step stamp so I didn't have to color those little flowers - just stamped them in. The brad is also from SU and I always forget I have those. After photographing the card I realized I should have fluffed those butterfly wings out a little.....but as always, what you see, is what you get! LOL!
Thanks for stopping by and be sure and check out Shopping Our Stash and enter your creation!
