Gone to the Dogs

The jury is still out on this card!  I'll look at it one time and really like it and then the next time I look, I wonder what in the world I was thinking.  Does anyone else do that type of thing?  Anyway, it is what it is - and it's a done deal.   Right now I'm liking it but ask me an hour from now and I may have a different answer for you..........

I used some of the pups from one of the My Favorite Things stamp sets and perched the little chihuahua on top of the star for this birthday card.   Added some crystal drops and then added all of it to the raised white panel.  Lots of dimension but you really can't see it all from the photo.  Oh, and by the way.....that's a red star but sure is looking like a funky color in the photo.

I'm really liking all the sketches that MFT has and this week is no exception so I'll add it in their challenge.

It's a Little Fishy

Since Jim and I haven't been able to go fishing for a while, I thought I'd at least make a couple of fishy cards.  It's much cooler to just stay inside during this miserable heat we're having  than to be sitting in the middle of a lake somewhere burning to a crisp.

I used several different stamp sets on the above card - My Favorite Things (new release Gill Friends), Lawn Fawn (Life is Good), and Simon Says Stamp (Best Fishes).  The fish are from MFT and the "accessories" and sentiment are from LF and SSS.  I also used a Newton's Nook wave stencil for the background, some Paper Studio patterned paper that looks like sand, an embossing folder, and some clear crystals from Studio Katia.

For this second fishy card I used the My Favorite Things wave stencil and  Gill Friends stamp set.  Both of these are new releases.   I added a few of my clouds, the embossing folder, and clear crystals once again.  The pink/purple fish was made to look 3-D by stamping the fins twice and popping up.

I'll enter these in the sketch challenge at My Favorite Things.

Bring on the Alcohol.......Ink

I'm just sharing a couple of cards I did the other day using some alcohol inks.  I like how the pieces seem to all turn out different.  I don't have many of the inks but they're still fun to use.  On this first one I just added a big "celebrate" die cut from MFT (I think that's where it's from and am basically too lazy to get up and go check that for sure).

Another very simple card using a small piece of an alcohol ink background I made.  On this one I added a butterfly die cut - and once again I don't remember who made it and  laziness kicked in on getting up to look!  The sentiment is from Hero Arts though.   See.....my  mind isn't totally shot yet. YEA!
