Roses Are Pink......

I'm definitely NOT a poet, so won't even attempt to finish the Roses Are Pink title.  If I did I'm sure it'd just sound pretty corny.

The image I used for this very CAS card is from Sugar Pea Designs.  It's one of those stamp sets you can use over and over.   Pretty images both big small.  I colored this with Arteza pens.  I finally broke down and got some not long ago just to see if I could figure out how to use them.  It's a work in progress but I do like using them.  I did a little stenciling with a Tim Holtz stencil behind the image and the card was a done deal.

I'd like to enter this in the AAA challenge (One corner and the optional twist of flowers) and also in the Less is More challenge for a one layer card with spots.

Peep, Peep, Peepers

You see that peep on the far right - that's exactly how I've been lately.  Just sorta not even wanting to move.  Not sure if it's age, the weather, laziness, or what, but it's there.

The stamp is from Stampingbella and is so cute.  A friend gifted it to me and it's my very first Stampingbella image.  Loving the peeps!  I used a sentiment stamp from Simon Says Stamp so I could make it into a birthday card.  Every time I get a birthday card finished, one of the granddaughters will wander though wanting to know if I have a card they can take to a birthday party.  They're keeping me in business - but the pay is awful!  The hugs are worth it though.

Mama Llama

We either have a mama or a papa llama - or maybe it's a whatever gender llama.  They're cute though and they come from Taylored Expressions.  I love that you can add whatever you want to their blanket and all that.  The cactus came from a Gerda Steiner set and the sentiment is also from Taylored Expressions.  I did a little sponging, added the clouds and that was about it.

I followed the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches so will add it to their challenge.  Also adding it to the challenge at Pixie's Crafty Workshop for all the snippets that were used on this card.

For a Guy

YeeHaw and all that kind of good stuff!!!!  A very CAS card for one of the guys for whatever occasion I need it for.  I think it'd be good for a birthday, Father's Day, or whatever.

The cowboy and rider are from Stampendous and the sentiment is from Close to My Heart.  I've always loved that sentiment because when you come right down to it, there really IS a little cowboy in everyone....male or female. (No, I'm not going to show you a picture of my cowboy boots today though)!!!!   I added a few embossed lines and that was it.

I'd like to enter this in the challenge at AAA cards - one layer with optional of black and white.

Celebrating

Don't get excited......I'm not celebrating anything around here other than maybe summertime.  I just couldn't figure out a title for the post though so picked celebrating since it's already in the sentiment.  Guess I could have always picked "with" ..........O.....K.....

A very basic clean and simple card using an image from My Favorite Things.  The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions.   I only colored one of the flowers (in Copics and colored pencils) because I thought it looked good like that - and besides........it'd be a lot of coloring otherwise.  O.......K........

Here Fishy Fishy

I love to fish.......and always will..........unless I catch something that looks like this.  That certainly may make me change my mind in a hurry.   Aren't they hilarious looking!!!  So much fun and I absolutely love their expressions.   They're from Rubbernecker Stamps.

I used some distress oxides on the circle and then cut the fish out and mounted them  That's about all there was to it. I'd thought about adding google eyes but thought maybe that'd be overkill with the clear bubbles I added - maybe next time.  The sentiment is from a MFT set.

I followed Freshly Made Sketches so will add it to their challenge.

The Mouse That Could Hula

Hey guys, it's time for another challenge over at 2 Crafty Critter Crazies.  This time we're being sponsored by none other than Rick St. Dennis. Come on over and enter for a chance to win  but be sure you have some type of critter on your card or project.

Gosh, this makes me wish I was sitting on the beach in Hawaii or somewhere similar.  Not that I'd be doing the hula though - but then again, I'm not a mouse either!  It really would be nice soaking up the sun or even sitting under the palm tree  - sipping on a margarita of course.

The palm tree and mound of sand are from a Lawn Fawn set of stamps and the sunshine die is also from Lawn Fawn.  Of course that cute image is from Rick St. Dennis!  I used a stencil and distress inks for the clouds.
