Freezin' and Rambo

Getting a little chilly around here now - and we still have January and February to go!  Time for me to just stay in the house and be warm.   Here's another 'freezin' card with yes, one of those cute little grumpling stamps from Taylor Expressions.  Gotta love these guys.....

The image was cut out and popped up on dimensionals.  I added a little pink and purple bottle tree from Tim Holtz stamps and the card was basically done.  A clean and simple "git 'er done" card.

Since I'm already here on the blog I thought I'd also add the latest picture of Rambo all decked out in his (almost too small) Christmas tee-shirt.  It says "no mistletoe needed".  We did the Santa pictures one year and it was pretty stressful on everyone involved....there was no biting (by either Rambo or Santa) but it was more of a "what the hell am I doing on this guy's lap" type deal.

'Tis the Season......

What's not to love about this grumpy little cat from Taylored Expressions!  This is definitely me in colder weather.  That first cold front moves in around October or November around here and then I don't thaw out until April.  I'll take summer any day of the week - although it really does get a little toasty here - like HOT!

Sweet Wishes - PIP Challenges

I have a little snow couple for you today.  We also have another challenge at Pammie's Inky Pinkies for Anything Goes.  Our sponsor this time is Bugaboo!  Be sure and come over and enter your card or project for a chance to win a fabulous prize from there!

I used this cute little snowman couple along with some patterned paper with snowflakes all over it.  The rectangle frame was already on my desk from another project.  I stamped a sentiment and added a few snowflakes and that was about it.  They're colored in Copics.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure and enter our challenge at Pammie's Inky Pinkies.

In The Meadow......

In the meadow.....we won't be building a snowman!  However, I can make one on a card and I'm afraid that's the closest I'll get to it.  It's cold here (for our part of Texas) but of course no snow is involved at all.  For all of you that do have snow though - go build a snowman!

This cute little guy can be found at From the Heart for their progressive challenge.  If you played along last month you received this one for free this month.  I'll also enter this in their weekly challenge which is a sketch with a (color) twist.   See the photo below.

I colored him with Copics and then glittered up the "fur" on his hat.  The embossing in the background was done with a Sheena Douglas embossing folder.  A few sequins were added for fun along with the twine and patterned paper.

Snow Buddies

It's time again for another challenge over at Digi Haven.  Our theme this go-round is Snow Buddies.  We're being sponsored by Dilly Beans, who also provided the DT with images.  Be sure and head over to our challenge at Digi Haven and enter our challenge for a chance to win a wonderful prize package from the sponsor.

I know some of you are sick of snow, snowmen, and the whole scene.....but this image was just just too cute not to use (and besides that it fit the challenge! LOL!).  I've used some strips of scrap paper  and embossed the pink panel (Pretty in Pink from SU) with a Cuttlebug embossing folder.  The image was colored in Copics and popped up over the DP.  You'll notice I said that pink was called Pretty in Pink.  In real life it really is pretty but no matter what I do I can't get pink to look like the shade of pink it's suppose to be in a photo.  One of those little quirks of life I guess.

I'm also going to enter this in the challenge at Pixie's Crafty Workshop (snippets).  It's been way too long since I entered over there.

Thanks for stopping by............and head on over to Digi Haven for our challenge.

Charming Snow

The challenge over at Tuesday Throwdown this week (where I'm a guest designer) is themed: Charms!  We're being sponsored by Bugaboo who so graciously provided the images for the DT.  Please take a moment and check out the Tuesday Throwdown blog and all the DT creations.  You have one week to submit your entry using charms.

I used this cute little snowman and made a CAS card.  I did him all up in some red and added a tad of glitter to his hat and some to the "snow" under him.....added some red ribbon, twine, and a bow......and of course, the little charm.  As I said, a very simple card.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure and check out the Tuesday Throwdown challenge.

Tuesday Throwdown Guest Designer

I received an e-mail from Davi over at Tuesday Throwdown last week wanting to know if I'd like to be the Guest Designer for January!  Whoa....you could have blown me over with a feather - so excited!  Of course I said a great big YES, so here I am.......

The challenge for this week at Tuesday Throwdown is "Baby, it's cold outside".  Catherine Pooler, who is a independent SU demonstrator is providing a wonderful prize for this challenge!  Be sure and check out all the fabulous creations by the DT and come on over and play along.

The image is from a set called To You and Yours from SU.  I used some Baja Breeze (now sadly retired) card stock, DP and ribbon because I think this color gives it a wintery feel.   I colored the image with SU markers and then added glitter on the ground and roof.  You really have to look close to see the glitter, but believe me it's there!    I think everything I used on this card is from SU except for the glitter and snowflake embossing folder...oh, and of course the nestie too.  This card really can be used for a Christmas card or just a "winter" card.

I'll enter this in the challenge at Mark's Finest Papers (Use brads or eyelets) and Dilly Beans (winter wonderland).

Thanks for stopping by......and be sure and check out the Tuesday Throwdown challenge!!!
