White on White on White

I just heard on the news that Texas may be getting a pretty good cold front in next week.  I doubt very seriously if we'll see any snowflakes like this here but the cooler weather will be welcomed for sure.  I do hope it snows this winter though so I can see if Rambo is going to love it or hate it!

Lots of white here - but with a little gold embossing too.  I used a stencil for the background "snow" and some texture paste.  The snowflakes were made with Impression Obsession and Lawn Fawn dies.  I also added some clear "whatever they're called".  The sentiment is from Sugar Pea Designs.

I'll enter this in the challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches (sketch) and Rudolph's Day Challenge (Christmas).

Thanks for stopping by.............

A Couple of Roses

Just a couple of roses today using a stamp from Sugar Pea Designs.  The first one, being yellow, would have to be the yellow rose of Texas I guess.  The second one, in red, is just a rose.  I'm still not sure why I tried distress ink behind this one but I did so it is what it is.  Looks a little dirty or something!  Yikes!

They were both colored with colored pencils and that's about all you can say about them I guess.

I followed the sketch at Case This Sketch so would like to enter that challenge.

Foxy for Fall - PIP Challenge

Time again for another challenge at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and our sponsor is Lawn Fawn!  Be sure and enter your card or project for an Anything Goes challenge for a chance to win $25.00 from Lawn Fawn!  How exciting is that!!!!

Today is the first day of autumn - well, unless you're living in Texas.  Autumn probably won't show it's face around here for a while and we may be lucky if we even see it.  Sometimes we go straight from summer to winter.  Anyway, back to my card...........

An autumn card for the first day of autumn......   I used Into the Woods from Lawn Fawn and created the scene inside a piece of white wood looking card stock.  This was then added to a piece of wood looking patterned paper.  (Lots of wood looks around here!)  I added some die cut leaves, cloud, and twine.  The "smile" speech bubble was also in the same stamp set and I heat embossed it with a platinum embossing powder.

I'll enter this in the challenge at Cut it Up (use die cuts - and I used several different ones including the fox, cloud, leaves, etc) for  Into the Woods, Creative Knockouts for Anything goes) and Pixie's Crafty Workshop for snippets.

Thanks for stopping by..........Be sure enter at Pammie's Inky Pinkies!  We'd love to see your creation.

A Couple of Ratty Looking Cards

Well Rats!!!!!!!!  Pretty ratty looking cards for you today.

Even I can't believe I'm finally playing along in the Twofer Challenge!  The theme is critters and critters is one thing I have plenty of in my stamp collection.  I've had this stamp set from  Katzelkraft for a while and just haven't inked it up until now.  So, it's the first time using the set and the first time playing in the challenge!

Both are very clean and simple and pretty well self explanatory as you can see, so I won't go into everything I did (or didn't) do. As I said - the rats are from Katzelkraft,  The sentiment on the one of the right is from Taylored Expressions.  Not sure where the sentiment on the left is from.

So anyway.........there you have it - a couple of rats!

Raking it Up - Not In

I think if I post more cards for fall or autumn, the weather will change and we'll start having cooler temperatures.  Don't want snow like some places are actually having now, but a little chill in the air would feel good.  Raking the leaves like this little guy is getting ready to do wouldn't feel so great though.

I used an image and sentiment from Darcie's and it's colored with Copics.  A little layering of papers, some twine, and it was done.

I'll enter this in the challenge at Cute Card Thursday (Autumn) and Pixie's Crafty Workshop (Snippets).

Thanks for stopping by............and have a great weekend.

This STUFF

I'm so disappointed because you can't see this STUFF on my card!  Bummer!!!!

I'm now considered a "city girl" since I live in a city now I suppose.  Not sure you can take the "country" out of me though.  Anyway, one of the advantages of living here is that a couple of the big box craft places are right down the road.  I've never had that luxury before so it's a little different knowing if I run out of something, I can just run down the road and get it.  Before I'd make about one trip every couple of months to the city and stock up on things.

ANYWAY.......back to business........I was in one of the places the other day and found this STUFF.  I'm sure everyone reading this has a can of it and has used it before but I'd never even seen it.  I guess I was so busy trying to stock up on things I never even noticed it.

Glitter Dust!!!   Oh my!  That stuff is wonderful.  I finished my very, very, VERY simple card and decided I'd try it.  Took it all outside and sprayed away (Rambo looks like he's ready for a night of partying with glitter all over him too)!!!!!!  Even though you can't see it in the picture, it really did make it shine. Nice!

As far as the card goes..........the usual..........distress inks, sentiment from Simon Says Stamp, some clear sequins, and that glitter dust.

A Little Boo and Fantastic News!

First of all -  FANTASTIC news!  I was asked to be on the design team at Pammie's Inky Pinkies challenge blog and of course said a big YES! It's a wonderful challenge blog and I'm so excited and honored to be part of it.

We don't have a sponsor this time but PIP will be offering  a wonderful prize in the form of a gift certificate to Mo's Digital Pencil.    Fabulous images to choose from  as you well know.  It's an Anything Goes challenge and we'd love to see what you create.

Halloween will be right around the corner, so I've used one of Mo's images for my card today.  It's colored with Copics and the sentiment is from MFT.  I added a little patterned paper and twine and the card was done.

Thanks for stopping by.........and be sure and enter Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenge.

A Couple of Horses - 2 Crafty Critter Crazies

It's that time again - another critter challenge at 2 Crafty Critter Crazies.  We'd love to have you join in on our challenge - just make sure you have some type of critter on your card.  We're being sponsored this month by QKR who also provided us with some wonderful images.

First up  - all in grays and blues.  I LOVE this image for a masculine card.  I didn't even attempt to color it because I think it's so dynamic looking just as is.  I did run a little bit of green over the grass but that was it.  It's framed out super simple and the large silver circle star was added with some twine.

I'd like to enter this card in the QKR Stampede Challenge - Anything goes

Since I'm still trying to do more than one card with either a stamp set or an image, I have this pretty horse framed out with some green plaid and solid green paper.  The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions.  Guys need to be told they're fabulous every so often I think.

That's it for today, but be sure and check out 2 Crafty Critter Crazies and enter your card or project.

Thanks for stopping by............
