I had every intention of posting a card yesterday and more to follow during the week - but that won't be happening right now I'm afraid. My husband had a stroke on Saturday night. He's in the hospital and I just can't seem to be able to deal with posting a card and then not returning the comments. I'll be back as soon as I can but have no idea when that will be.
I'll see everyone when I see everyone. Please keep us in your positive thoughts or prayers.
Thanks, Lynn

Rambo Rules
I haven't posted any pictures of Rambo lately so thought you'd like to see the little dude. He's a cutie and absolutely rules the household.............This is how he usually sleeps in the car since there's no room to really stretch out. The way the light is coming through the window he looks like he's about 100 years old but he's only 6.
Not sure if Rambo was driving us home or if Jim was driving. He's sending everyone smiles though.
Yesterday was National Hot Dog Day - and Rambo was a little worried he was going to get cooked I think. He breathed a sign of relief when the day was finally over with.
Thanks for stopping by........and I'll see everyone on Monday if not before. Have a great weekend.

Happy Loving
I quickly colored up this Art Impressions stamp with Copics on Very Vanilla card stock, added that strip of paper on the side (because it was sitting on my desk and would have been tossed otherwise), added the twine, and called it done. Whew! This really reminds me of them except she would have been carrying a pink purse instead of a brown one. Everything has to match or she doesn't leave the house. I'm one to check and just make sure I have on my pants and they're not wrong side out or something!
Thanks for stopping by..............I'm going to take a few days off around here and see if I can't re-charge my batteries. I'll see everyone soon! I DO have a couple of photos of Rambo coming next week but be warned: Viewer Discretion Advised!!!!

Floating Along
That good old summertime has finally hit Texas it seems. Sure wish I could join this chick and ride the waves!
This is for From The Heart progressive challenge and the cutie is called Inner Tube Birdbrain. He's colored in Copics. I added some sunny paper, sun die, and some wave dies. Hope he doesn't get a sunburn in the blaring sun and heat!

Summertime Cheers!
Penguins are always cute in the wintertime since it's so cold, but I like them in the summer too. Just dreaming of cooler weather I suppose.
This cutie is from My Favorite Things and he's ready to bring some summertime cheer. I attempted to use one of the Zig markers to make the watercolor look in the background then added the penguin and palm. A little Glossy is on the glass and the sequins added.
Now comes the fun part. The original card was fine but I decided there needed to be sand under the penguin and palm. I recently saw a video where they added those cute little tiny dots with a Copic to make sand. Hey, I can do that too......however, I'm thinking my hand has lead in it! My tiny dots were more like golf balls! Just think of it as big clumps of sand and you'll be fine!
I'd like to enter this in Time Out Challenges (Nature, with the option of animals).
Thanks for stopping by.........and have a great weekend.

Feline Better
Another quick card using a Newton's Nook stamp (Newton's Sick Day). I don't know about y'all but, as I've said before, I never have a get well type card on hand when I need it. There's so many cute images in this set I don't think I'll have an excuse not to have one now!
I found this red embossing paste at a store in the city that has since closed it's doors. Really a VERY bright red and so pretty - and goes on super smooth too! I used a stencil and embossed the red stripes at the bottom. The kitty nurse was mainly left white (with touches of gray). A sentiment added and a bit of twine. Except for waiting for the embossing paste to dry overnight, it was a really quick card.
I'll enter this in the Simon Says Stamp challenge (Wednesday) (Furry Friends).

Slow Going Green
Did all the green wake everyone up this morning!
Just a quickie using In Slow Motion from Newton's Nook. He's colored (with no attempt at shading) with Copics and then the bow and ribbon popped up for some dimension. A few sequins were added for fun.
Thanks for stopping by.......and I'll have another quick card up for you tomorrow.

Sailing Away
Rocking along with some fun sailboats today. We didn't get our beach and margaritas on Saturday and this was as close as I came to any water - other than maybe dishwater!
The sailboat die and sentiment were from last months Simon Says Stamp kit. Cute kit with some fun things in it. I even fired up the sewing machine for this one!

Happy 4th
It's celebration time here in the U.S. with July 4th being tomorrow. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend whether you're celebrating or not. I think Jim and I will be sitting here munching on a hot dog and pretending we're laying on a beach sipping margaritas!
This cute little bear waving the red, white, and blue is from Deedee's Digi's. Check out Deedee's shop to see all the fabulous digi's she has to offer. We also have a progressive challenge each month and would love for you to join.
I'll enter this in the challenges at Sassy Studio Designs (July 4th - red, white, and blue) and Pixie's Crafty Workshop (snippets).
Thanks for stopping by.........and have a great weekend.

Birthday Pup
A sweet little pup from Newton's Nook that's all dressed for the birthday party. He's from the stamp set Fetching Friendship with a birthday hat perched on his head. The sentiments are from two different sets of Newton's Nooks stamps: In Slow Motion and Newton's Summer Vacation. The background was done with some SU ink and a Tim Holtz stencil. A few sequins and some twine added for fun.
This is a card to be sent to a friend telling them happy birthday - but wish they were here so we could celebrate it together.
I'll enter this in the Inky Paws Challenge at Newton's Nook (Birthday).
