Happy Thanksgiving

T Day is finally here!  If you celebrate Thanksgiving, I hope you have a wonderful day tomorrow.  We'll be stuffing ourselves with stuffing and hopefully having a good time.....and I'm sure we'll be eating way too much.  I never have figured out why we do that to ourselves but I guess for one day out of the year it's ok.  Our family is joining with another family and we should have around 30 people show.  We'll be having turkey, dressing, and ham of course - and then counted and realized we'll also be having 23 side dishes!  Eek!..............No wonder we stuff ourselves!

Anyway, this is one of the Thanksgiving cards I made this year.  The wreath is an image from WPlus 9.   The sentiment has been embossed in gold.  The unknown patterned paper seemed to match the colors in the wreath perfect.

Thanks for stopping by and I'll see everyone next week...........and have a nice day!

Christmas Penguin

What's not to love about a chubby little penguin!  Makes me want to break out the movie Happy Feet.

This is a very CAS card using a die from My Favorite Things and an image from Taylored Expressions.  It's colored in Copics and as I said, very clean and simple - but fun too.

This may be the shortest post on record but hey, it's Monday.  .

I'll enter this in the challenge at Sweet Stampin' Challenge - A Pop of Red and at The Cats's Pajamas (holiday)

Oh Deer

It's getting a little close to the countdown for Christmas now so you're going to be seeing some pretty clean and simple cards here.  What am I saying anyway..........That's what you normally see here!  Oh well.......

This was really a quickie and it has more of masculine feel I guess.  I LOVE that deer die from KaiserCraft.  I think the sentiment banner die is from Simon Says Stamp.  As far as the sentiment.....your guess is as good as mine on that.  The problem is that I have all my Christmas stamps in a canvas crate type thing and in order to say which set the 'season's greetings' stamp came from I'm going to have to get up, walk over to where the crate is, and then dig through there looking for it.  I seriously doubt anyone really cares where it came from so........laziness is kicking in and I'm not going to look.  If you HAVE to know, shoot me an email and then I'll go look!  Nothing like a little honesty here.

I'll enter this in the Your Next Stamp challenge - #127 Mad for Plaid

Christmas Skates - Jan's Digi's

This is my second post for today.................

It's time again for another challenge at Jan's Digital Stamps Challenge.  Once again, we have an Anything Goes challenge  and would love to have you join us.

Also once again I used the pre-colored version of Jan's digi image.  It's called Christmas Skates and using the pre-colored version makes for a quick card ....... and we can always use those at Christmas when there's so much else going on.  I used a VERY, VERY old Nestie die - one of the first ones I probably ever got - to frame out the pair of skates.  The background paper was in my stash and I added some Close to My Heart organza ribbon and a bit of gold twine.

Thanks for stopping by.............and check out Jan's Digi Stamps and enter your card or project.

More Mice - PIP Challenge

Here's some more mice for you - and just in time for Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenge too!  It's an Anything Goes challenge so be sure and enter your card or project for a chance to win a wonderful prize package from Di' Digi's!

I used one of Di's Digi's images on my card and kept it very simple.  It's colored in Copics and then mounted on some red and white candy stripe type paper - and a piece of twine added.  As I said, very simple - but still think it makes for a cute card for the holidays.  Gotta love those mice!

T Day is Almost Here

Thanksgiving is almost here.  All the turkeys are heading for the hills to escape the butcher.  However, some of them have gone into disguise.  This one is pretty sure he's still going to be around next year since he has his Groucho Marx disguise on.  (If you don't know who Groucho is, look it up and you'll see what I'm talking about - and yes, I just gave you a hint of my age too.  Yikes)!!!

I used this same design on a Thanksgiving card last year but with a different turkey.  It's almost time to get them in the mail so I basically just "CASED" myself I guess.  The turkey is from Art Impressions and all the paper I used was just some scraps.   Another one of my "git 'er done cards".

I'll enter this in the challenge at Paper Funday Challenges (Anything goes with twist: Thanksgiving)

Thanks for stopping by..............and have a nice weekend.

Moldy Green Cheese Trees

I made two cards similar to this and then realized, well DUH!!!!!  That's cheese for the Christmas trees and should be the color of the cheese.  UGH!  Just think of them as being moldy cheese trees.   YES!

The stamp set is from Sunny Studio and I fell in love with it as soon as it was released.  There's just something about mice and Christmas......not sure what that something is, but I love it.  The "snowflakes" in the background are from a Lawn Fawn die and the sentiment from Taylored Expressions.

So, no matter - green cheese trees (trying saying that real fast a couple of times!!!!!) or cheesy looking trees, we still have a Christmas card.

I'll enter this in the challenge at Pixie's Crafty Workshop (snippets).

Thanks for stopping by.............

On The Road At Christmas........Jan's Digi's

This is my second post for today................

There's a new challenge - in fact, it's the very FIRST challenge - over at Jan's Digi Stamps Challenge!  Yep, new challenge and my first post as a design team member for this very talented artist.  Yahoo!!   Some of you may have seen her work when Sparkle and Sprinkle blog was around.

We're very excited to begin showcasing Jan's digi's with this new challenge. It's an Anything Goes challenge so stop by and enter your card or project for a chance to win.  Also become a follower if you wish and then keep coming back for more fun challenges.

For my cards today I used Over the River digi stamp.    Her stamps come in pre-colored or black and white.  For my cards today I used the pre-colored version because there's just too pretty not to!  I went over them with colored pencils to make them pop a little and that was it.

Jan's Over the River set is so pretty and I know you'd enjoy making some wonderful cards for Christmas using it.

Be sure and check out our new challenge HERE and Jan's shop HERE.

Fun Elf - PIP Challenges

It's time again for another fun challenge from Pammie's Inky Pinkies!  It's Anything Goes so stop by and enter your card or project.  The winner of this challenge will receive a gift code to use at Mo's Digital Pencil!

I used one of Mo's images for my card today.  Isn't that just about the cutest little elf ever!  Loving those pointed ears!!  It's colored in Copics and then I used a Taylored Expression strip sentiment.

I got this whole thing done, snapped x number of pictures trying to get everything done just right, got it uploaded to the blog - and OMGoodness!  We have a burned out bulb!!!    I just noticed I colored all the light bulbs on the string - except for one.  I'm so thankful the entire string didn't go out with it like they do in real life!

Thanks for stopping by.........and head on over and enter at Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenge!

A Girl and a Deer - 2 CCC

It's time for another challenge at 2 Crafty Critter Crazies.  It's always an Anything Goes as long as you use some type of critter on your card or project.  Super easy since we all love the critters!  We're being sponsored this time by The Paper Shelter who so graciously provided images for the design team.

I kept my card very simple today using Holy Night.  The image is colored in Copics although this image does come in the colored version also.   I added glitter to the ground, tree, and snowflakes.  The background paper is from a piece that I had in my stash and no idea where it came from.  I finished it off with some ribbon and pieces of gold twine.

Check out 2 Crafty Critter Crazies and enter your card or project!

Thanks for stopping by........
