Do you ever make one of those cards that you get through with and think it's just WONDERFUL, FANTASTIC, and GORGEOUS??? I mean, you get everything just RIGHT with this card - it's centered right, no smudges, and is just perfect in every way! And then you spend 20 or 30 minutes getting "just the right picture" of it.....then look at that picture and go UGH!!!!! So you go back and spend another 20 or 30 minutes re-taking the picture of that wonderful card - and when you look at it, it still looks AWFUL!!! Well..........this is one of those cards. It really looks SO MUCH better in real life.
This is for a new CAS challenge (in fact this is their FIRST challenge) - it's called CAS-tastic.
"Anything goes" for this one and I wanted to do a Father's Day card that is coming up soon - hence, this card. I used the Noble Deer image from SU and it was stamped in Close to Cocoa. The paper I used was Close to Cocoa and Very Vanilla. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and was "framed" using the Word Window and the Modern Label punches. I did some sponging around the image and then "popped" it up on dimensionals. This was very quick and easy and REALLY does look better in real life!!!
Thanks for stopping by...................

It's perfect for Father's Day and it is wonderful!
Perfect masculine card!
A card that would truly be a huge hit in my family....deer and no ribbon! Could possibly be topped by a fish card:) Great man card. Nicely done!
Very nice card!!
This is a beautiful card. A great guy's card.
I think it looks very nice! I love the CAS look of it and the outdoors theme makes it perfect for most any man.
Stunning!! Love this card :)
I'm not sure what's wrong with your photo because the card looks good to me. But I do know what you mean. I rarely take a second photo of something though unless it's really off (like I forgot to use the "macro" setting and it's blurry). I use my editing program and try to fix it that way otherwise it is what it is. I figure that there is no way I'm every going to be able to get a perfect photo so why bother killing myself over it. My blog readers get the idea of what I'm posting so that has to do.
I have this same stamp set but I don't use it much because it's so detailed and takes too long to color in. But just today I was thinking of making some father's day cards for Operation Write Home and considering using this much like you did, just tone on tone. The cocoa was a good color choice. And I like your sentiment punching idea.
Love love this.. u aced this one! Stunning!
I totally hear you...sometimes there's just no way to get the picture to do the card justice. Well if that's the case here then I can't image how amazingly awesome this card must be, cause it looks stunning to me just as it is!
great card for father's day -where do you get your inspiration for all these cards from? best wishes Lesley x
I feel your pain Lynn.......I'm terrible at photographing my cards. I've got the 2peas 12-week photo class printed out and sitting just to my left and still haven't gotten to reading through it!
All in all - I can see the beauty in your card. Such a great Father's Day card!! You're way ahead of the game....I gotta get on Mother's Day cards!!!
