I have said - I will NEVER do it, there is just NO way, WAYYYY too expensive, what a WASTE of money, I probably couldn't figure out how to use them anyway..................COPICS!!!!
Well, I broke down and bought a few the other day - not many for sure, but a few to see if I'd like them. I think it will take ALOT of practice before I could ever get used to them (at least learning how to do shading with them), but they do appear to be very nice markers. I actually colored this image with a couple of the Copics (first attempt) and also SU markers.
Is this a "country birthday" or what! Maybe it's that gingham paper and ribbon. Anyway, the image was a free digi from Sliekje and the sentiment is SU Well Scripted. The layout is for Stamping 411 #145 sketch. A very basic sketch that I guess you could either add a little or add alot to.
Thanks for stopping by......................
Lynn

It's adorable and your colouring looks great...they do take a little work to get the hang of them but they are so worth it!
Very nice, love the country feel of this, and you did well on your first try. Here is a blog to go to help you out. Her name is Theresa and she is a designer for Gina K. she takes you step by step with copics, she is fantastic. Just one of many places. http://craftingtheweb.blogspot.com/
Famous last words!I swore I would never pay that much for markers either and now that is about all I color with. Great job! I love that gingham paper, looks very nice with your image. there are tons of Youtube videos on coloring with Copics, have fun with them!
Oh, Lynn...great minds and all that...I actually picked up a book on Copics last week and really want to take a class on how to use them! Good for you for taking the plunge! Nice Card!

Great first attempt. Very soon you will be wishing you had all 300+ colors copics offer. Lots of tutorials of their use. Love the card.
great card - I have just a few Copics but I haven't had chance to 'play' with them though since I bought them at the end of February - Lsley x
Cute, cute, cute!! Great job with the Copics.
Love the gingham! Have fun on your Copic journey!
This is a beautiful card, I adore gingham! Your coloring is lovely. I've been thinking about taking the plunge and buying Copics too.
Definitely country. And so cute. I have never said "never" about Copics. For me it's more an "unlikely". I went to a Make-It-Take-It at a scrapbook store when one of the projects was using Copics. I don't know if it's because the instructor wasn't a good teacher or she didn't have enough pens in the same color groups available but I just didn't get the blending thing. And if you can't do blending, you might as well use regular markers. So I didn't buy any Copics, and unless someone lets me use theirs and I get the hang of it, I'm not buying any. Too expensive to not use.
Adorable card and great job with the sketch! Thanks for playing along!
