Vinca

I was cleaning up my computer desk this evening and noticed my flower press! Um..I wonder if there's anything in that? Yep! About a month ago (before it started getting too cold) I picked some vinca and leaves and put it in the flower press. It was dried and ready to go - on something. After I saw the sketch at Clean and Simple Stamping, I knew where it was going to go.

I'm such a chicken - was going to just put all this on the card base, but decided to put it instead on another piece of white card stock and pop it up. I mess up enough paper, card bases, etc, as it is and didn't think I wanted to mess up another one tonight - so that's why I popped it up. Anyway, the sentiment (Well Scripted from SU) was stamped in Lovely Lilac and the ribbon was in my stash. The flowers and leaves are REAL!

Thanks for stopping by................

Lynn

This is SO cool, Lynn! I am so curious about a flower press now, too. I was telling my husband about it and even he knew what it was...Eeek I need to do some research! I love the gorgeous, vibrant colors of the Vinca and how the ink and ribbon compliment them so well. Vinca is one of the few flowers I have had success growing, I'm not a really great gardner as I'm sure you can tell. :)

Wow! Lynn, this is BRILLIANT ... So elegant... You have captured the purple colour of the Vincas so well. I have changed my mind - this is the BEST card from you that I have seen!

Lynn, this is gorgeous and pressing your own flowers, I don't think that is something I can do, of course one would have to garden to have flowers :). I love the colors, they really pop against the white. Have a great weekend.

WOW! Not only did you make a pretty card but you used flowers and leaves you pressed yourself. I like how you popped up the main panel. Very pretty.
