Have a Basset Birthday

I made this card a couple of weeks ago for a friend that will have a birthday next week. She raises Bassets and they all seem to look like this - just SAD! But she loves them and I thought she'd get a kick out of the card. The whole time I was making it though I kept wanting to add the sentiment "missing you" instead of "birthday wishes"! The image is from Karen's Doodles and I really like it alot. I was able to add that little funky ribbon treatment since this will be hand delivered instead of mailed. Not a fancy card by any means.....but she's not a "fancy" person either so think she'll like it.

This is short and sweet today - but hopefully I'll be back up to par next week.

Thanks for stopping by...........

Lynn

Ooooh, that image is so sad and sweet and cute and cuddly. Your card is FANCY indeed - the lace treatment makes it so special and the pearlized paper looks great with embossing. The striped paper ties in so well. Always love your taste.
I am learning that embossing looks great on pearlized paper... I had made lots of embossed cards on pearlized paper for Christmas and they sold off like hot cakes.

Hugs,

Monica

Lynn, what an adorable card. I love the way you colored the hat in pink. Helps make the basset look a littl less depressed :-) they are lovely dogs! Another fabulous card

This card is just as cute as all get-out! That image is so typical of that breed of dog, but the hat completely cracks me up! Fabulous ribbon treatment too! Awesome!

Oh Lynn, this is just joyful! I LOVE the ribbon! I've been fiddling with a ribbon for the past 25 minutes, lol - wish it were easier to know how to do them! :) My mom raised Basset Hounds! How coincidental! We had 4 at one time and when they got to howling .......oh my, lol. HOpe your weekend was wonderful!
