If Mama Ain't Happy

This little "mama" (Ethel from Just Inklined) is NOT a happy person.  And when "Mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy"!  I wish I had a dollar for every time my children probably thought I looked just like this.  Usually when I got "that look" they would scatter in all different directions.  I still get "the look" on occasion but it's directed more at hubby and Rambo (our doxie) now as the kids are all grown and have families of their own.. I can almost guarantee that my daughter gets this same "look" now that she has children of her own!

I'll probably have to send this to my sister in law.  Her grown children STILL scatter when she gets "the look" - mine just laugh now!
Just wanted to take a minute and thank everyone so very much for all the wonderful comments you've been leaving on my blog.  They mean so much to me.  Thanks!

Also, thought I'd give you an update on my husband - and again, thanks for the comments, thoughts, and prayers for him.  He seems to be healing pretty good now but it's just going to take a while.  We saw the doctor on Monday and thought maybe he'd be able to get off the wound vac, but not so.  He has at least another two weeks - if not longer - on that.  I'm thinking he's getting a little tired of me having to help him bathe, get dressed, and all that kind of good stuff  - but "Little Miss Sunshine" here just tries to keep him in good spirits and laughing.  Some days the "sunshine" gets a little cloudy, but then I bounce back pretty quick. LOL!  Anyway, thanks for your concern for him.

Keep smiling, have a wonderful weekend, and thanks for stopping by.........
Lynn

Hello Little Miss Sunshine,

First of all many thanks for the update on the wounded soldier... admirable attitude you possess, my friend. So much to learn from you, you know...

Now to this card, you are amazing with your never failing sense of humour, yet again you managed to make me laugh!

Such a FUNNY card, so ideal for your SIL!

Will come and organize your craft room once mine is done (in my thoughts).
No one could need it more than me! Lol.

Hope it stays sunny for you,

Monica

This is so funny, Lynn! Love the expression on her face and the "Bite Me" on her apron. Did you add that? Feels like your kind of "funny Friday' humor. :-D Great papers and ribbon! So glad to hear about hubby's continuing progress. We'll keep the prayers going. Hugs, friend.

This is awesome, and I just love the "bite me" on her apron :) I know I've given that look plenty of times to my children too, and when we had a doxie and I gave her one of those looks, she'd run into her pen and hide under the covers! LOL I remember my mom giving me that evil eye too, but whatever I was doing, I snapped right out of it immediately! LOL Great card!
I'm so glad to know that your DH is recovering nicely, and I'm glad he has you to take care of him! I'm sure you don't mind helping him with his daily needs, and I'm sure he'd do the same for you! Just keep thinking those good thoughts, and in a couple weeks, he'll probably be good as new :) Have a great weekend!

How funny...my kids laugh when they see my look, now, but the grands sure do stop in their tracks....LOL!!! I love your card, Lynn!!!! I'm glad your hubby is doing better!!! Sounds like the progress is slow but sure....in a few more months, all the stress will be just a memory!! My DH broke his neck several years ago in an accident and I had to help him with his shower and dressing for quite a while so I feel your pain and joy!!!

Lynn, your card is hilarious. As Mom's we probably all have had that look and scattered many children to the wind. Thanks for updating us on your husband and I hope that he continues to mend.

Love this card- the image is a stitch! Well Lil Miss Sunshine, you probably never looked like this to your children....unless they were testing testing you.....! How funny to see your kids children get the same looks you taught them when they were younger! Sorry to hear Nurse Lynn has to continue her care for a few more weeks- hope Hubby's spirits are OK even with all of the ongoing issues!

Lynn, this card is so cute. Isn't that saying the truth? My kids still tell everyone about "that look" and every once in a while I will throw one of them that look just to get them questioning what they did. It does become quite a conversation starter. Thanks so much for the update on you and hubby. I think about you every signle day. Hubby is lucky to be in such good hands and everyone has a cloudy day once in a while. Caretaking is the hardest job in the world. Speaking from experience here. My hat is off to you, keep up the great work and he'll be back or normal before you know it. Bless you both.

Sooo, does this mean that I didn't invent that look myself????? LOL. Yep, my hubby now is the recipient of THE LOOK now that our kids are gone too! What a great card this is! I loved reading your post and so admire your caregiving. It must be draining on you, but you bounce back and chase those clouds away. We're here cheering you on. Glad to hear that your hubby is improving. Hugs to you!

Glad to hear things are headed in the right direction, even if it is slow... You both are still in my prayers and I'm sure he greatly appreciates you, even if his current situation doesn't make him feel like showing it as much! I had to laugh at Little Miss Sunshine, since that was my Mom's nickname for me when I was grouchy. She didn't use 'the look' much, but she has a tone of voice that would stop us dead in our tracks (still works too!) Take care and here's hoping that sunny days will be coming soon!!
