Happy Birthday SOS

Shopping Our Stash is having a birthday celebration!!  We're turning one year old and so excited about this!  In order to pass our happiness on to you, we're having a BINGO challenge that will run for two weeks instead of the normal one week - so you'll have plenty of time to join in and enter your creation!  Remember to use up some of that stash!

I used the second horizontal row across (Glitter, Pearls, Distress, Blue, and Flower) but you can go horizontal, vertical or cross ways for your creation.  I used an old CTMH butterfly image, glittered it up added some dimensionals, and then added the pearls.  This was mounted on a nestie that I've actually never used before but have had for about 6 months now!  I used a gold pen to outline the white one (thanks to Donna and Carol for this tip).  I also used the Tulip embossing folder from SU that I think I've only used once before.....and last, but not least.......the flower!  Yikes!  I've had some pieces of vellum that were given to me SO LONG AGO and have never, ever used any of it. I punched out the flower and then distressed a little around the edges and then added the "greenery" and a big pearl! I also did a little distressing around the edge of the card stock and the nestie.

ALSO.....along with our challenge at Shopping our Stash, several of the DT will be offering BLOG CANDY!!!  This includes me too!  Yeah!   I'm not even going to show you a picture of it.....it's going to be a SURPRISE BLOG CANDY!  The only thing you have to do to be entered into my drawing is to leave a comment on my blog - If you enter the SOS challenge, leave a second comment and I'll enter your name twice.  EASY!!   I'll pick a winner and announce it on my May 29th post so be sure and check back on that date to see if you won.  Check out all the DT members blogs to see who else is offering candy and their wonderful creations!

Thanks for stopping by......and be sure and enter your creation in our Bingo challenge at Shopping Our Stash.

Oh how your post made me smile today, Lynn :) I am with you on the vellum, haven't used it in ages but what justice you do to all things you add to your cards! This is such an elegant card, the blue is soft enough to match perfection yet give it that little extra pop. LOVE the buttefly! Beautifully done! x0x0

This is such a pretty card in those soft blues! That touch of gold really sets the image off perfectly without being overdone! {thx for the shoutout} I love the vellum flower, and I've got to tell you - if I had that embossing folder, I'd have worn it out by now! It frames this butterfly beautifully! You need to use that more often! NJ!
