Life

"Life" just DOES NOT understand the situation around here!!!  It keeps getting in my way and doesn't allow me to do what I want to do.  I know I can't be the only one this is happening to, but as a result I feel like I'm forcing myself to make a card just so I'll have something to post - and I hate that feeling!  So, I've REBELLED!!

If you don't see me around for several days it just means one of several things....Life got in the way, I didn't feel like creating, or was just plum lazy!!  LOL!  I've been trying for the last three days to get back in my craft room and it hasn't happened yet (maybe tomorrow).  I kept thinking....ok, I gotta come up with a Funny Friday....since I haven't done one in a while.  Well, I'm old and retired so I shouldn't HAVE to do anything unless I want, right!!! LOL  So, what I'm going to show you today is a card that I created a couple of weeks ago........and MAYBE, just MAYBE I'll get something flowing around here soon........IF life doesn't get in the way again!

This is a card I created for a Penny Black challenge - a couple of weeks ago!  Don't know why it never got posted.  A LOT of dots and spots on here for sure!  I think I never got it entered in the challenge because I wanted to put a slightly larger bow on here.....but (gasp) had no white ribbon in the size I was looking for (and I'm the one that has ribbon running out her ears.....guess I need more)!!

I'll enter this in the challenge at Art Impressions - Seeing Spots!

Anyway, sorry for all the ranting and raving.......and hopefully I'll be back around with something just sensational (LOL) this weekend......but if not, it's just NOT!

Thanks for stopping by...............
Lynn

Yeah, that life thing getting in the way happens to me a lot too, in fact, I am always wondering where the time went!
This is a fun card Lynn and the sentiment is absolutely perfect for so many occasions. Those PB frogs have always been a favourite of mine and LOOK at those clouds! Fluffy perfection!

Love the happy images and colors. Fantastic coloring too! Everyone needs a break, so enjoy yours for as long as you like. My feeling is that if something you enjoy stops being fun, and it's not required, don't do it.

Super cute card Lynn! I love the image and the 3d flower. I know it can get super hectic having to keep up with everything but just make sure at the end of the day you are doing it for yourself and because you like it :) Hopefully you have a well deserved rest and we see you back soon!

Hold on, YOU didn't have the right ribbon??! You are the queen of ribbons! I had to chuckle when I read that. I completely understand how life gets in the way sometimes....that's how the past couple of weeks have been for me too. You can only do what you can do, Lynn. :)

Your card is adorable! That little froggy is so sweet and I love the sponged sky. Toadally fun! Have a great day!

Wow Lynn! First, I love the card! Layout, image, coloring, clouds and even the ribbon you used!

Secondly, I think we all feel the pressure of blogland at times, and really, why? Unless its your fullime job, both hobbies of crafting and blogging should come with no pressure. I think we all need that reminder at times

Take a few days off! :)

Fabulous Lynn, lovely clean and fresh looking. Loving the image too.

Your little rant made me chuckle. I too am retired and if I don't want I don't do. I have a stack of cards that I just post on my blog LOL :) The ones I think aren't that good are the one's that get the most amazing comments.

Hey Ho thats life. Enjoy your weekend and if you get don't get in the craft room no worries be happy my friend.

Hugs

Oh, yeah, for sure I have days (weeks?) like that! I think this card is wonderful. I have that same stamp and you've got me itching to ink it up again. Unfortunately, no time! lol Does that sound familiar? Hugz.

We all have those non-creative days! We get tired from gardening, housework, shopping and all that other good stuff, so we need a break now and then! When the weather's nice (like today) my craft room is the last place I want to be! Your card is cute regardless of when you made it! I love the blue color and the "skinny" ribbon :) You do need more ribbon though - we all do! *snort*

Oh, I can really relate to your post Lynn. It seems I have to drag myself into my craft room these days. Just too many other things to occupy my time.
As for your card, it is froggin' fabulous :) Love this sweet image (your clouds are gorgeous, too). Take care and post when you darn well feel like it. We'll still be here .

I am so glad that this is happening to others and not me, I have been doing the same thing. I have so many things going on that need my attention, but I feel that I have to get a card done because I said, Monday, Wednesday and Friday :) You have said it all perfectly, maybe I will follow your lead because to add to everything school is out for the next three months which adds another layer. Your card is cute and your cards are always wonderful, so don't worry about mojo you have it no matter what. Enjoy your time off and relax, this is supposed to be fun and a hobby not a job.

This is such a fun and upbeat card, Lynn! And life gets in my way quite often. I keep telling myself that I'm old and retired and I should have time for some fun, but retirement seems to have more restrictions on fun than working! But...when I get a chance to play, I really, really enjoy it. I hope you have a restful and fun filled week.
