Here's Fall

This is my SECOND post of the day - The Shopping Our Stash post is directly below!

Well....I say fall's here.......but actually it hasn't really hit down this far south yet - so I'll just have to look at it on my card.   Sigh!   It seems we pretty much skip the season around here except for maybe a couple of weeks.  It is nice to see the trees start changing colors though - just haven't seen it yet.

Our {Pin}spirational Challenge starts to day with the beauty of fall!  We're being sponsored by Stitchy Bear this time and be sure and enter for a chance to win a wonderful prize package!!  Pop over to the blog and be inspired by all the creations from the DT too.

I recently got this stamp from Impression Obsession and love it since you stamp the leaves separate and can change out the seasons that way.  For this go round I used some fall-ish colors and added the little swing.  The fence is a punch I've had a long time but don't think I've ever used it before - it looks more like a fence for a Halloween card since it's kind of broken down and missing a few boards.  LOL!  It probably could have used a little taller fence - guess I'll have to just go shopping now!  Good excuse!

Isn't our {Pin}spirational photo a beauty!!   Love the orange against that blue sky!

I'll enter this in the challenges at Broken Box Stock (Fall Foliage Color Palette, Clearly I Stamp (Fall into Fall), Dilly Beans (Autumn Colors), and Sassy Studio Designs (Fall Colors).

I probably won't have a card until next week.....I really tried so hard so get some crafting done the last couple of days but it just didn't happen!    If I do get one finished it'll not only be a surprise to you, but also to me!  We had company all weekend and now have company coming again on Thursday (through Sunday) so I need to clean the teepee! LOL!  Seems like I just did this last week!!!  Oh well.......I probably won't even be able to turn on the computer while they're here so if I don't pop into your blog, that's the reason why - but I'll be back!

Thanks for stopping by.................
Lynn

Who cares if the fence needs to be repaired when there's a beautiful tree like this to look at! And a swing. My Grandma had a swing in the tree and we could swing so high! One of my favorite childhood memories.

Oh Lynn, the tree is absolutely beautiful and the swing is a terrific idea! I really like the sentiment, I usually associate "thinking of you" with not so happiness going on but the beginning of this sentiment removes that though! Have a great week and enjoy your company!

Beautiful card. I so like that lovely tree, and how sweet with the little swing. Here in north Georgia, the leaves are starting to turn, and I so excited. Your tree has definitely captured the lovliness of this time of year. Well done!

This is SO lovely, and exactly like the trees I will be seeing around our Upstate SC area here in a few weeks. I must look for this particular stamp, as I.O. has some of my favorites. Fantastic job, and your sky has our Carolina Blue look that we are presently seeing. Thanks for capturing that look. I can't seem to replicate it!!! Hugs

Oops, I saw your card, scrolled down further, and just realized - the gorgeous orange tree with the blue sky, was from Pinterest. Should read more carefully before I comment. :-(

Lynn, my first thought when I saw your card is that it needs to be framed! what a love tree you created, a real work of art!

Oh Lynn! This is so pretty. For some reason, it gave me goosy bumps! I think it was seeing that swing and remembering the days when it seemed like every good tree had a swing in it. Don't see those much anymore.

Hugs,

Chriss

Hi Lynn. I didn't even noticed that there was an issue with the fence. I just thought that this was a masterpiece. Wow. Your take on the inspirational photo was completed to perfection in my opinion. I say hats off to you on a splendid job. Thanks so much for playing along with us at Clearly iStamp. Hugs.

I think that is the Martha Stewart Halloween fence punch. But I think it looks good on here...reminded me of an old farm with the big trees in the yard. I just got the regular fence punch by Martha Stewart but can't wait to find/get the Halloween one!
Thanks for playing with us at Clearly Inspired Challenge #60 - Fall into Fall. Hope to see you on 10/5/12 when the new challenge is posted and the winners for September!

What a lovely tree with leaves perfect for the season and the swing and fence are awesome. The first thing I noticed was how natural the fence is considering that it is a punch. I love it's imperfection...

Love,

Monica

The fence is a bit rickety, but that's OK! Still looks good to me!!!

LOVE that tree, Lynn! I just want to jump into the picture and hop on that little swing! Beautiful leaves and that fence is perfect, imho! Looks like a fence that would be encircling a big old house somewhere!

Lynn, This card is a wonderful fall card. I really like the idea that you can stamp the leaves separate. That fence is just find for your scene.
Enjoy your company but I wouldn't worry about the house. My grandmother always told me to clean AFTER the company left not before because it would only get dirty while they were there. LOL

Gorgeous fall card, now when is fall exactly here in TX??? I know it has been in the 90's here and I am ready for sweatshirts, of course right now we are getting soaked, but I am happy for a cool, rainy day. Hope all is well down south.
