Just Beach-y

This exactly where I wish I was today!  Since we don't have a beach close by I guess I can always dream a little.  Just the thought of that sand squishing through my toes, wind in my hair, waves crashing.......feeling sticky all over!   Yikes!!!!  Am I REALLY wishing I was at the beach!  I actually love going to the beach but here in Texas with high humidity, you have to take the good with the bad and just deal with all the stickiness.
This little gal doesn't seem to mind at all though - that's one thing nice about being young....things like that don't bother you!

This is a digi image from Whimsey Doodles......cute, right!  I'm trying to practice on coloring hair and just realized I need a lot more practice now.  I got it a little dark.  She looks like she just came from a dye job at the local beauty salon!   The "sand" is some DP that I got last year and I think it's from Paper Studio.  The clouds.......um........first I didn't add any - then added three - then took away one and ended up with two.  I'm still not sure about how many (if any) clouds needed to be there.  They actually look pretty stupid perched up there in the middle of nowhere.

Whether you hit the beach or not, hope you have a great weekend!

Thanks for stopping by...........
Lynn

You are too funny! Love how you colored her hair, something I definitely need to practice more, and the clouds are a great addition.

You're too funny Lynn :) She's a cutie pie, ready to go swimming, which is about all you can do in this terrible heat! I love the clouds, regardless of how many you add :)
Stay cool, and keep smiling :)

Your clouds look perfect just the way they are and so does the hair on this darling little girl. I worked today, but it was nice an cool but the beach would have been better. We are on a 4th day of the heat wave, but still nothing like you have it down there. Enjoy the weekend.

This little doll makes me want to go to the beach and feel the breeze on my face and the sand in my toes. I like her hair! It doesn't look too dark at all!

Lovely card -- such a perfect summer fun kind of card. I spent most of today sitting in or near my daughter's pool. The water temp is 90 degrees and I can't tell you how cool that felt with the air temp at 110. lol Humidity is pretty high, too, for Southern Calif so most of the outdoor time was spent actually in the water. One more full day of that kind of being lazy, and then the next day I'll be driving home.

Oh lynn, when i saw this card, I thought how adorable and perfect this card was. I don't see anything wrong with, it at all. The clouds are perfect and you colored her soooo beautifully, especially her hair! Supercutecard!!!

lol you are too funny with the hair comments! I think her hair is looking pretty good!

She's certainly happy to have her toes in the sand! And the two clouds are just fine there in the sky!

HEY!!! I LIKE THE CLOUDS & HER HAIR!!!!! hehehehehe

What an adorable image. That sand/beach paper looks really cool. I think that 2 clouds are just right with this layout.
Wishing we were at the beach also. 95+ outside, humid, etc. Too sticky. All these dang mosquito bites don't make it very comfortable either. Oh well, in about 5.5 months we'll be dealing with snow again.
Hugs!

Sweet card Lynn. Love the designer paper for the sand..it looks real. The little girl so reminds me of the beach too.

Well, you are karacking me up and being nasty to yourself in this post, Lynn!

Allow me to correct your observations. Your clouds are adorable and they don't look stupid "perched up there in the middle of nowhere." They are perched up in the sky, where they belong, and perching like that is prezactly what they do!

And your sweet little girl has perfectly natural-looking auburn hair, thick and lovely. I knew a little girl with hair just like that when I was young. Her name was Leah. I hated her for that beautiful hair.

Okay. I don't want to hear you opening up a can of whoop ash on yourself again, you hear?! I LOVE your sensational beach scene!!

LOL! Lynn I just love your clouds. They are so pretty and aren't clouds really just up there!!! Love your cute image and her hair looks fabulous! All in all, a great card! You are your own worst critic.

Definitely would be cooler at the beach, sticky & all! Your DP made wonderful sand. I thought the hair looked great, the clouds didn't look stupid. But that is just MY opinion! I felt cooler just seeing this little cute Missy with her tube at the beach. Thought it was a lovely card too! Stay cool & TFS

Well...I smiled when I read your post as I just came home from the lake...Two weeks at the lake and beach and pool and now home to garden, catch up the laundry and clean the house. Then back to the lake for 2 more weeks!!!

Yep, I would like to be that little girl right now too!
Cute card.

Isn't she a little cutie, Lynn ... all ready for snorkling! Her hair is fabulous, there's so much movement and dimension in the colouring ... and the fluffy clouds are where fluffy clouds should be, high up in a clear blue sky! Thanks so much for coming by my blog and for leaving me some sweet words! Anita :)

Since I went to the beach today, I'll tell you how it was - hilarious. The dog managed to need to poop right as soon as we hit the sand - and again as we hit the water. So picture me scooping poop out of the water with my hands...with an audience of hundreds. Feel better now? lol
Her hair is intense - just like kid hair! I love the shading you managed to do. I will post a card later this week that will show you a bad dye job, and this ain't it.

Lynn, this is sooo cute! Love the beach sand you created to go with that real little cutie :)

After reading the comments, I think you have been overruled on your wonderfully sweet card!
I think the top of the card would be off balance without the lovely clouds, and her hair is 100 times better than my coloring skills would have made it!
Very fun and cute card!
