Still Summer

Since we still appear to be smack dab in the middle of summer around here I thought it only appropriate to post a summery type card using my anchor die and set from Paper Smooches.  It's very similar to one I recently did, but hey.....sometimes the old brain just gets clogged up with too much stuff and you have to go with what you can.   That twine stuff is something I picked up at Walmart thinking it'd be just "the thing" to add to a nautical card.  Turns out though it's so stiff you can't really do much with it......will have to put on my thinking cap a bit more on that stuff I guess.

I may be (and then maybe not be) missing in action for a couple of days around here.  If you don't see me lurking around you'll know I haven't gone far though and will return.

I'll enter this in the challenge at Pixie's Crafty Workshop (snippets - silver anchor, twine, and tiny heart).

Thanks for stopping by.......
Lynn

Wonderful card for so many occasions. I like the stiff twine - it looks like the anchor is firmly attached and won't drift away :-).

Lynn, great card and I love the sentiment. I was wondering if you could rinse the twine in some fabric softener. We will miss you and will watch for your next posting. Enjoy your summer day.

Delightful! Love the way you have the anchor (love those MB dies, don't we!) 'set back' in that oval frame. You do this crisp white so well, and the brightness of your sentiment just pops. Great card. TFS

Oh, I've had those purchases - when you get it home it won't work for its intended purpose. I usually use those kinds of twine/ribbon for wrapping presents :) It totally works here - it almost looks like it's wired?
And nothing wrong with going with what works - there's a reason we love what you do :)

This is a real nautical beauty and I love that tiny heart accent on the water! I woke up to a brisk 45 degrees here in PA this morning! We're definitely "chillin."

Lynn, great card and yes, it's still summer here too. Although, I think I did get a wiff of Autumn this morning. Your twine might be hard to tie, but it added the perfect touch! Have a crafty week.

This is gorgeous, the twine works perfectly with the anchor. Have you thought about using the twine to make decorative frames/shapes? Wonderful snippets use and you have lots of gorgeous cards here hugs Karen

What a sweet little card! I am loving getting back to reading, and hopefully posting more. My Paper Kisses blog was ignored by me for too long and I lost the rights to post on it. Consequently I am starting over :( I would love to have you back as a reader Lynn, if you would be so inclined. The blog is at http://morepaperkissesandinkywishes.blogspot.com Such a long name!

This card is sooooo neat. I think this anchor die cut is FAB and the sentiment is very appropriate too. The touch of red gives it a spark.
