A Star for Tuesday Throwdown

It's time again for another challenge over at Tuesday Throwdown!  Our theme this week is a little different (or at least it was for me........and pretty much sent me into a tailspin)!  We want to see your creations where you crop a part of the image.  In other words, only use part of the image.  This was a digi image from Robyn's Fetish (who is also our wonderful sponsor this week) and the image is of a little boy standing.  I only used the head portion for my card.  Stop over at the Tuesday Throwdown challenge and check out all the wonderful inspiration from the DT and you'll see some wonderful examples following this theme.  Of course there's a prize for the winner so be sure and play along this week too.

As I said, the image is from Robyn's Fetish and all I did was add some paper from CTMH, a sentiment from Lawn Fawn, some stars from a SU die, and brads.  I embossed the Cherry Cobbler panel with the Swiss Dots folder and then added the twine.

Thanks for stopping by.......and be sure and head on over to the Tuesday Throwdown challenge!

This came out great. Nice challenge to only use part of an image. Terrific choice of papers and embellishments to make this one a fantastic card for a boy. Have a wonderful day.

I love his smile and what great colouring, Lynn. The striped paper befits the stars and I like the bright and cheerful appeal of this card.

Now, that's a unique challenge...and fun. I love how you handled it with just the head. Looks as if it is all that was meant to be. I love this adorable card..it's "boy" all the way.

Tailspins must be good inspiration for you, Lynn. This little guy is adorable. I'm loving the way you colored him up, and those pierced circles are super. Nice bkgrnd strips with the dotty border and the super stars! What a nifty way to compliment that sentiment for a sweet little guy (or a sweet big guy too if need be!) TFS & Hugs

And what a star he is, Lynn! Love your coloring, especially his hair. I just love Swiss Dot embossing but I forget to use that folder. Maybe that's because it's buried at the bottom of the embossing folder box and I can't get passed the ones on top to dig far enough for the Swiss Dot. :-D Love the star with the brad!

That is an interesting challenge. For many I'm sure it it no challenge at all. I never think of cropping or using just a part of a stamp, so it would be a big deal for me. You definitely made a great card out of this though. Why one could even say You're a Star!!!
