A Double Hello

We're back again with an Anything Goes challenge over at Scrapy Land!  Anything goes this week but just be sure you use one of the brands of dies that are sold in the Scrapy Land store.  Check out all the rules of the challenge and enter for your chance to win!  Be sure and see all the inspiration from the DT also.

I really wasn't happy with this card at all but it does look better in real life.  I used a stencil and distress paint and then sprayed it all with some gold metallic shimmer stuff.  This was mounted on a piece of burlap and the "hello" die from My Favorite Things added.  Here's a link to the die in the Scrapy Land store.  I added a snip of some lace and then the dew drops.

Now, moving right along.................

This one is so much more my style!!!!  Clean and simple and yes, a "git 'er done" type card.  I used the same die on this one (notice I cut the tail off the "h" in "hello" in that first card - I keep seeing "chello" instead of "hello"!  LOL!)  I also used some die cut leaves from Impression Obsession (that can also be found in the store), smashing some distress inks over them, and then adding the piece of twine.  The banners were done with some scraps I had left over from another card.

That's it for today.........and thanks for stopping by.............
Lynn

I think both are fabulous! I kept seeing more and more things I missed on the first one every time i looked at it. Love the background and the burlap. Love the bright patterned papers on the second one (and I agree with you about the tail at the beginning on the word).

I think your first card is gorgeous. I love the colors you went with here and it looks so nice on top of the burlap. Your second card is equally as nice and I know you are must more comfortable with this style. I have to say you have two total winners. Have a fun day.

They're both great cards, and the first is definitely out-of-the-box for your style, but it looks gorgeous! The 2nd is more "you" with it's clean CAS style, and I see "cello" too! LOL NJ on both!

I am loving this first card Lynn because you used a stencil! All the colors are so pretty and fallish and I love that Hello. The burlap-well who doesn't love burlap?! I also love the white lace against all that color. Now the second card is very much you!! lol I love it too because I am really getting into the clean and simple cards, Love the papers you used for your banners and I love, love those leaves. I didn't notice the "chello" until you said something. lol And now I see it. But it is a pretty "hello" die and I am loving how you used it on both cards. Hugs, brenda

You made the leaves on the second card look as if you got them outside...so pretty. Two great cards, Lynn.

I LOVE #1, but I hear you that #2 is more 'your style'. You've rocked it with the stenciling I think, it's very beautiful, and I love the way you added the Hello. Great texture with the burlap background, the lace with the rough burlap, and the pretty dewdrops to sparkle. Really very pretty, so not sure why you didn't like it. That said, #2 is just as pretty in a different way. Love the orange leaves with the blue check banners. Both cards are just great!! TFS & Hugs
