Birds and Beer

I was scooting around in blog-land the other day and saw this image on Chrissy's blog.  Eeek!!!!!  I had to have it!  She made such a cute, cute card using this.  The image can be found at From the Heart Stamps where they have a monthly progressive challenge.

This almost looks like me when I start the wrapping - almost!  First thing I do is slap on the reindeer horns.... might as well get in a good humor for that job...then turn on the Christmas music.   I usually have a cup of "something".....like a nice cold bottle of beer!  I always try to carry more wrapping paper than I can handle and it goes rolling across the floor - along with ribbon, bows, tape, and everything else......Rambo grabs one of the ribbon rolls and high tails it to the other end of the house.  (Are you starting to see why I need the beer!)  I finally get it all settled on the table and am ready for this fun job.  Jim walks in and says he wants to help - and I grab another beer!  Finally, everything is wrapped, tagged, and ready to go.  By this time I really don't even care what they look like and probably had enough beer too!  That's really how I do the wrapping every year!  Such fun!

I'll enter this in the progressive challenge at From the Heart Stamps.

Thanks for stopping by.........and keep smiling!
Lynn

Ha-ha-ha, you're too funny! No wrapping at my house but I do need the beer to help lick all the envelopes! I love, love you card, just adorable and hits my funny bone and makes me laugh!

Well I am just like you and your little guy there. I used to do the beer thing too but now I've change to Coconut Rum and Ginger Ale. Try It You'll Like It!!! LOL I will probably be even worse this year seeing as how I just started buying the other day. WOW me thinks me in trouble, schedule wise. Wish me luck. Have a fun day.

HA! yes, except for the beer that sounds very similar to my "process" tho of course i go the extra mile and either trip over some of the giftwrap or get my foot caught in the ribbon, lol! meanwhile, what a FABULOUS card!!! <3

How cute is this image!!! Pretty cute, I would say. Oh, the hassle of wrapping. I used to wrap just about all the gifts, now just buy cute bags and stick most of the gifts in those. I do have a thing for pretty gift bags. Ugh! I have more than I could ever use. Why, I ask....do I keep buying them?

Hee, hee, I like the idea of drunken wrapping! Usually when I get all set up, I use the last piece of tape in the house. LOL! Really cute card, Lynn.

That sounds like a lot of fun! I definitely think I should incorporate some alcohol into my wrapping time this year, maybe a nice glass of mulled wine :-)
Lovely card too, love the fun image and fab CAS design.

ROFL, Lynn! I now have visions of Jim holding paper in place with one finger while you rip off the appropriate scrap of tape. Maybe you could suggest to him that it's his job to chase down Rambo and rescue the ribbon? Love the card and that silly bird. :-D Wonderful Funny Friday.

This is just a fun & bright card. I can identify with this chick & her reindeer getup. I'm not a beer drinker, but coffee with Kahlua seems to help the process at our house (for me anyway! or make it eggnog with Kahlua!) We sort of do the same kind of procedure you described, without Rambo to help us. A big mess is left at the end, and you're spot on: by the end, you just want to be DONE. TFS, Merry Christmas & Big Hugs!
