Daisy Picking Valentine

I'm breaking tradition here and using blue and yellow on my Valentine card instead of all the reds and pinks.  I've seen so many Valentine cards the last couple of weeks and am MORE than ready to move on to spring or summer - or even fall!   I'm almost to the point of wanting to put away all that red and pink stuff and not even looking at again until next Valentine's Day!

Anyway, this image came by way of From the Heart stamps with their progressive challenge.  I played along last month with another cute image so received this one for free this month and will be playing along again!  They have some really cute images there.

I used to love picking daisies and then pull off the petals.  I ALWAYS had to cheat!!!  I mean, who wants to end up with the "he loves me not" business anyway!

Thanks for stopping by........
Lynn

For you, reds and pinks are getting tiresome, for me it's white that is tiresome. LOL This dash of spring colors is such a welcome sight. I think he is darling and yes, I used to cheat also. We won't tell anyone. Have a fun day.

This is really cute! And tell me where does it read that Valentine cards have to be pink or red? smile. I don't think I could ever get tired of pink cards (since it's my favorite color) but I am getting a little tired of making Valentine cards too.

I'm with you Lynn! All those hearts and flowers are doing my head in now, so your cute card is such a refreshing take on the subject.
It's also ideal to give to someone that doesn't do all the flowery stuff.
Love it! xxx

This is totally adorable. I usually don't make Valentine's Day cards. I never use them. I should probably make one for my grandson, though.

Isn't it the truth? No one wants to end with, "he loves me not." :-)
Your image with the jewelry laden birdie is just too, too cute. I like your colors, too. I like to go non-traditional with Christmas and valentine colors.

I adore all of those silly birds at From the Heart, Lynn, and I really love this blue and yellow combo you chose. :-D Wonderful simple design with the twine for an accent. What do you mean you had to 'cheat'? Weren't you supposed to say "...loves me..." with every petal?

Love the pearls and I've got to admit, it makes me really happy to see that yellow!

Cute card, and humourous post too! I hear you with the red, pink & black & all the hearts. I'm burnt out on that theme! Your blue & yellow looks very fresh and is still a "lovey" card. I like this glamorous little chick and yes I laughed about the daisy petals too. I expect we all did that!! TFS & Hugs.

I love these colours together! so bright & cheery and YES not pink or red, lol!

I LOVE the colors you chose for this! The image is so cute and I really like the blue and white twine too!
As far as cheating at the daisy game, we cannot be held responsible for the petals that just happen to fall off together or if we somehow 'forget' which phrase we were on! Personally, I just tossed the ones that didn't work out and tried another one!!
