Boat

How about that title?  Boat!   Pretty original I guess!

This is another card that I did several weeks ago and really can't remember too much about what I did.  I know I used some wood grain card stock.  The sailboat die is from Simon Says Stamp.  The birds were from some other set and so was the sentiment.  I watercolored (Yikes) the background for the boat.  My water coloring stinks but I keep trying anyway.

Nice weekend around here - and thank the heavens for sports on TV!  Jim parks himself in front of it and all is nice for a while.  We're rocking along ok with some days better than others.  Guess that's expected though.

Thanks for stopping by.........
Lynn

Your card is very cute Lynn. I like that paper and it's a perfect background for the boat. You wouldn't think wood grain should be but it is.
I'm glad things are getting better for you guys. It's a long road but you will do ok.

What a gorgeous card, Lynn! The sailboat is so pretty and I love the sentiment. I think your watercolouring looks fabulous - the sky looks so real! I struggle with watercolouring and I just can't get the hang of it - but I'm not giving up! Your woodgrain paper is gorgeous! Glad you and Jim are hanging in there. Sending positive thoughts and hugs.

Your water coloring does NOT stick at all. It's much better than I could even think of doing. Anyway the whole card came out just as nice as can be. Glad to hear things are rocking along- Rocking along is GOOD and we'll take it. Hoping this is one of the better days.

This is beautiful and such a dreamy card! I love the sharp white on black sentiment panel with that serene scene you created! Your watercoloring looks great to me! As for sports on tv - we've both been glued to the tv watching the world series of little league baseball! What fun to see such great sportsmanship and talent together! Go PA and SC!

A fabulous card Lynn..there is nothing wrong with your water colouring and I love the boat with it's spotty sails..super design and so clean looking..think of you often and always hoping your days are getting better..they will.
I have made a new folder and putting "mail to answer" in it as I'm sure I owe you an e mail..I open mail and think will write again shortly and mail then goes down the list and then gets lost..sigh..so a folder I have made..have a good week..I only have 3 more days and it will be my day off..whoo hoo..should not wish my life away, but I do..

Your card certainly delivers on the promise of the title... that is very definitely a boat...on a super cute card! I love the little scene through the aperture and the sentiment tied with twine is fabulous :-)

I guess your life at the moment is much like a boat on the waves...up and down, but as long as you are moving forward it's all good!

Big hugs, Kat xx

Love the red sails...and your watercoloring is great. Got nice dark slashes of color for those splashy waves, and lovely soft purple streaks in the sky. Looks pretty wonderful to me. The trio of birds was a perfect accent in the sky too. Looks great in the circle aperture, and the embossing adds so much texture. Really one of the best looks I've seen, so kudos to you, kid! TFS & hugs.
