A Bag of Treats

Since all the grands are far away I never do treat bags for Halloween.  This year, however, I thought I give one to Jim.  Figured he needed a 'pick me up' anyway.  Oh, and by the way......he's doing pretty good I guess.  About the same but we're making it from one day to the next so what more can you ask for.  Some days are VERY long but we keep rocking along.

Using the Goodie Bag die from Lawn Fawn and a cute FREE image from Newton's Nook, I created a small treat bag.  I colored part of the image with Copics and then also did some paper piecing.  We've got lollipops, butterscotch, and two Hershey bars in the pumpkin.  I'll put a real Hershey bar in the bag before giving it to him.  If I do it now, he'll eat it!  The little ring thingy on the sentiment is some type of wire clip I found hiding with my brads.

I'll enter this in the Inky Paws Challenge at Newton's Nook (Halloween Theme).  I'd also like to enter it in the challenge at Whimsy (Anything Goes or Halloween) and Die Cuttin Divas (Pumpkin or Scarecrow).

Thanks for stopping by........
Lynn

That's such a cute treat bag, complete with a jovial pumpkin and chocolate! (eventually!) I do hope your hubby is feeling better and showing improvement each and every day! Slow and steady........just like the sugar rush he'll get with that Hershey bar :)

Oh Lynn, this is adorable and Jim will love it, especially the real Hershey bar. I know what you mean because if any candy bar makes it for two days in this house that is a real big deal. LOL I have a bunch of those little ring "thingy" also and never think to take them out and use them. I'm happy you did. Enjoy the evening.

I was wondering how your Jim was doing. You both are in my daily prayers. A little goodies bag usually cheers someone up a bit. Tell Jim I said Hi and give him my best.

Love, Hugs and Blessings

I love the idea of doing a treat bag for Jim, Lynn. My daughter and I used to exchange Easter baskets each year once she became an adult and was no longer hunting for eggs and goodies. I'm sure we each bought the candies we loved most, even if the other person didn't care for them. Afterall, guess who was going to get them when they were rejected by the recipient? lol
Love that pumpkin and am interested in the Goodie Bag die. Will have to follow up on that one.

This is adorable, and what a sweet loving thing for you to do. Both of you can enjoy the goodies while you admire the cuteness! Good for you on this project, 'cause it's one I've never attempted. TFS & Hugs

yeah, some of us cannot be trusted in advance to save our treats!!! :0 tho the lollipops would be pretty safe from me, as long as the chocolate held out, lol. this is BEYOND adorable, and the gingham ribbon and twine positively make it.

glad the man is doing ok. i suspect this is one of those situations where one is geared up for a SPRINT and find out after a couple of miles, oh no... it's a marathon... just gotta keep plugging away i guess... ♥♥♥
