Shake a Birthday

Ok, blues are actually green, and pink is something else besides this....and would someone please tell me how to take a picture of a shaker card and not have the glare!

I finally made a card I halfway like and then can't get a good picture of it.  Too much glare entirely.  The design paper is also the same color as the green in the balloon and that pink that's appearing is just down right nasty looking!  Oh well....  It was a fun card and think the granddaughter will like shaking it.  Probably going to like the money inside better though!!!

Hope everyone has a great weekend and thanks for stopping by.........
Lynn

Fabulous and fun card Lynn. Love the balloons and how you put the die across the acetate.
Can't help with the 'glaring question' because I don't know beans about taking pictures but I think this looks good.

it's my belief that it's IMPOSSIBLE to take a glare-free photo of a shaker card, or a card with any transparency element; the best one can do is avoid UNEVEN glare... which you've done perfectly! & of course YES, we're seeing the wrong colors, but they are lovely & we don't know the difference, so let's call this a BIG WIN all-round!!! :) :) :)

I love this card- may have to go make a sequins shaker today! I am with you- so hard to take pictures with shimmer and acetate without the colors getting all wonky! I bet she will enjoy the card AND the gift : )

I love your shaker regardless what colour you think it should be..I would be thrilled just to get my shaking stuff to stay IN my card..or not get stuck on the edges..I will give it one more go..and I love your sequins with their rainbow colours..very pretty, your G/daughter will love it.

This card came out great but don't you find it funny how the camera sees things? Love the sequins as the shaker part and the two fonts for your sentiment. You DGD will love both the card and the money, or at least my grandchildren always love to receive money so I'm assuming your does to. LOL Have a good weekend.

It is either a glare on lots of sparkle, or nothing shows on little bits. either way, it is really pretty, Lynn. I am sure she will adore it!

Whatever color things are s'posed to be, this is one pretty shaker card. Love the balloons, the framing and the glitter of the sequins just sparkle so well. Like the dimensional happy too. Well done, you! I don't think it looks odd one bit, neither with the grand! She'll love it, (1)cause it's pretty (2)cause you made it (3) cause it has green tucked inside!!! TFS & Hugs

Gorgeous shaker card! They say the camera never lies, but all us bloggers know that simply isn't true. Colours get changed and shapes get distorted! LOL!

I very much like this card. The colors are not ugly. It almost looks as though you used a flash. That always washes out color. Natural light works best.

It looks absolutely gorgeous to me and that fabulous shaker design with all the pretty sequins may have made it tricky to photograph but wow, it looks stunning :-)

How to take a pic without a glare: unfurrow your brow and smile, then hit the shutter button. :D sorry, I'm unhelpful but that was funny in my head. Actually I think the best way is to take it in complete shade. But this card is SOOOO sparkly and uber cool! Love it!
