An Indian But No Cowboy

We don't ever put any type of costume on Rambo for Halloween - or any other time of the year for that matter - but about a month ago I got him a little cowboy hat.  The cutest thing you've ever seen - but do you think he'd leave that on his head for one second while I was trying to take a picture!  Not even!  So, all you get today is the Indian!  I WILL get that shot of Rambo one of these days though so stay tuned.

The stamp is from I Brake for Stamps and sentiment from Mark's Finest Papers....all stamped on Kraft card stock.  A couple of pieces of some very old patterned paper and a clip were added and I called it done.

Thought I'd give this one to Jim since he loves reading about the old west and Indians and would have loved living back in those times.  Not me so much since I don't think I could handle buffalo tongue or something like that to eat.  UCK!

Thanks for stopping by.........
Lynn

Fabulous card Lynn and love your Indian and design..I don't dress Harry up either..but once we did with sunglasses and a woollen hat..the only reason he stayed like that, was because he was too tired to move..but treats in your hand work..they get so nosey waiting for the treat they forget what you put on them..lol..

Forget about buffalo tongue, what about a microwave, washing machine and dryer and most importantly indoor plumbing! Love your card and I'm sure Jim will too! I'm thinking Rambo wanted to be the Indian and you be the cowboy!

This is such a cool card and my husband was checking it out too - he collects Indian artifacts, so this card really appealed to him! I love that it's on kraft and those perfect papers compliment it perfectly! I never dressed my dogs either. I once crocheted a sweater for my chihuahua (you know how they shiver all the time) and the instant it was on him, he dropped and rolled again and again until I finally took it off of him! LOL My dogs were nekkid all the time too :)

Poor Rambo - fancy dressing him up ;-)!!
Love your card Lynn, and I think Jim and my DH would get on well with reading matter in common! I don't think I would like living with dung fires and all the hard work they had to do then, with no time for crafting as such!

Majestic image! Love how you kept it all so natural. My DH would love this and so would my daughter who has been collecting artifacts since she was very little. Wonderfully done and beautiful card. Hugz

Oh my dear, Rambo... let mom get the hot! Can't wait to see. Della is okay when you put things on her. It takes a few minutes until she let it be. We are trying to get her use to her winter coat which is fleece lined. We do go below 0 here sometimes so we had to get prepared. Love the western flair to this card, and I am sure Jim will appreciate how thoughtful you are. The older dp you used is awesome.

WOW, Lynn, this is stunning! Love the papers, my friend. Jim will no doubt love this card. BTW, I think the cowboy is hiding at my house and he did lose his hat recently. But his name's not Rambo. :-D

Love that image, especially the hand print on the horse rump! The colors all look so good together! My dogs would never tolerate a costume either! They would wind up chewing it off of each other.

Perfect card for the Mr. & love the sepia tone of the motif. Also very much liking the way you've done the mats...lovely colors with the sepia. Lots of texture in the paper design. Good for you at letting Rambo just 'be me'. I'm sure he appreciates that..and maybe he'll get to where he'll like the hat enough to leave it on. (our greyhounds get headbands, but they don't like 'em either. At Christmas, there's reindeer antlers. Last about a minute, and they're off). TFS & Hugs (oh yeah, I like reading about the Old West, but awful thankful I didn't live back then. A rough time for women too!)

I don't eat buffalo tongue and can't live without deodorant so I think I'll stay right here in the 21st century...LOL!!!! I can't wait to see Rambo with the cowboy hat...I bet he will look super cute!! Love your indian card with that awesome image and all the pretty papers...it's such an awesome masculine design!! Hope all is well with you and your hubs...we have been so busy with Grands activities and my parents that I haven't had time to visit all my cyber friends. For a while I thought we were going to float away but all is good...we only lost one tree in the backyard so we were lucky!!!

What a gorgeous masculine card, Lynn! I needed a masculine card today to mail off and I could only find one in my stash! I am so bad at making masculine cards! And that was my New Year's Resolution for 2015 - I failed miserably! Love how you layered your papers and added he cute little clip!

Wow, love the rustic colours here. Very Indian indeed in every sense of the word. And the sentiment makes me feel free. Lol.
