I've been watching the Art Impressions Watercolor series and thought that maybe, just maybe, I could do that. Maybe! These are my first tries - well, the first ones you'll see anyway. The others sorta found their way to the trash can. I'm still working on it but thought these at least came out decent. Of course after seeing the videos last week I notice all sorts of things I should have done and didn't. Guess that's just part of the learning process. I used the same stamps on both and Marvy and SU markers to do the watercoloring.
This second card sorta got blobbed up with the watercolors right smack dab in the center of all the foliage (of course!) so I added the gold embossed sentiment on vellum over that.
Thanks for stopping by............

These are so pretty Lynn, and it looks like it took hours to hand-paint all of those pretty tiny flowers and leaves! I love the embossed ribbon sentiment panel on the 2nd card - but they're both gorgeous creations! Keep at it, it's working beautifully!
Oh yeah, you can do that! BEAUTIFUL cards, Lynn. You did an outstanding job.
Oh wow, they are both stunning, Lynn!! You did a perfect job watercoloring!! The flowers look amazing!! Love these!! Have a great day!! Big hugs :)

I discovered this company and videos over the weekend. Needless to say, I can't wait for that order to get here! I immediately recognized the stamps on your cards! Both are gorgeous!!! I would never have known that the vellum is covering something needing to be hidden! A happy accident as it looks perfect!
Beautiful cards Lynn, I like the floral images and the designs

I love these, Lynn! Beautiful color combos and each of the pots looks fabulous. I've been playing with some water colors myself, not just pencils but actual water colors with a brush. I was only will to share one of them but I'm going to keep trying. I still haven't mastered the soft, 'fuzzy' look but maybe I just need to be using actual water color paper. I know my practice session work looks much different when I'm not doing it on the CS I use for alcohol markers. :-D
What a gorgeous image to watercolour Lynn, and great results, even if you did have to use the vellum to create an eye catching feature :-)
Blessings

These are both just as pretty as can be. You did a remarkable job with these stamps. I haven't worked with mine in a couple of years now but after seeing these gorgeous cards of yours, I think I'll drag them and the videos out again. Both of your flower pots were done to perfection. Wonderful way to cover up a booboo on your second card. No one would ever know that sentiment was placed there for that reason. Hope you are doing well in the heat down there. Enjoy the day.
These are fabulous Lynn, love the soft delicate colours.

Both of your cards are so lovely! I love the way your flowers turned out, so delicate and pretty! The flower pots look great too! The second card with the white striped embossing is just gorgeous! I always forget to use my embossing folders!
Lynn, these cards are gorgeous!
Lynn, love your colors. I love Ai too and have watched all their videos. It takes practice and remember, it is your style. I don't think you should have trashed some of your other un-see pics. I bet they were wonderful . Keep up the beautiful artwork.
Oh, my! How beautiful these are, Lynn! I love these delicate potted flowers! Sensational first attempts, my friend!
Wow Wow Lyn are these fabulous@@ I love the watercolor looks and you did a super job!I love the secone one with the embossing and you did a clever cover job because the vellum sentiment looks fabulous with it :)
Wow, both of these are gorgeous! The purple mat really makes the image on the first one pop and I love the vellum message on the second one (no one would have guessed that it was a cover up :-). )
You did an excellent job, Lynn. AI are the first stamps I ever bought, back in the early 90's and most of my AI collection are wood mounted. I could not live without my little grass stamp. Truly lovely work, my friend!
Wow Lynn, these came out so beautifully!!! I love that stamp image. Yes, I think we all see things we could have done or shouldn't have done when we are learning a new technique, it is all part of the learning process. But I think you did a fabulous job with this technique!! I enlarged your cards and didn't see any watercolor blobs, so we would have never known had you not told us. I think the embossed vellum looks great going across the card! Hugs, Brenda
These are gorgeous, Lynn! I really struggle with watercolour. I find it frustrating and I can't get the hang of it! I haven't given up, mind you! Maybe I need to watch this series because you've definitely got it!
WOW! I think you have done a tremendous job on this little pot (it was one of my 1st efforts too!) Now, I'd love to see the ones you tossed. I'm looking at each arrangement, and I can't see anything that you should have done differently. The plants look full and placed well, great highlights on the pot, with the shadows and they look great to me! (and even more so, for early efforts!) Also love the way you've matted and presented each card. Especially love #2 (well, ya know, the stitched oval, and all!) Well done is my verdict. You're great with w/coloring. This is not as easy as Bonnie Krebs makes it look (well, easy for her maybe!!) TFS & Hugs
Two really pretty cards and oh what fun to learn a new skill; your watercoloured flowers look beautiful :-)
Big hugs, Kat xx
