Not Fall

Everyone else seems to be making Fall, Halloween, or even Christmas cards.......and then here comes Lynn with a Super Girl!  We don't have Fall weather anyway - maybe soon.  Anyway, this is nothing fancy at all, no cool looking techniques, but will still be a good birthday card for some little girl.

I found this cute gal in a set of stamps from Pretty Cute Stamps called Superhereos.  You may notice some weird, really weird color in her hair.  No one likes to color hair anyway (or at least not me) but I saw a video the other day where they'd added  a light purple to the hair color and it was so pretty.  Of course this lady was an artist - and hers looked great.......mine looks more like she's got smudges of purple in her hair!  Such as it is though since that may be the style right now.

Anyway........I love the cute images in this set.  There's also a couple of little boys in the set too and they remind me of Superman.  Have you ever wondered how Superman could go into a phone booth to change clothes, yet no one ever saw him naked - and then having to pull on those tights!!!!  Can you really see a guy trying to put on tights!  Yikes!  Just something to think about this weekend.

Going to surprise everyone and actually enter this in a couple of challenges too!  Shock, I know!  The challenge at Pretty Cute Stamps is polka dots so I'll take this over there.  Also, I couldn't just come back without also entering the challenge at Pixie's Crafty Workshop (snippets).

Thanks for stopping by........I'll be around again when I am.......
Lynn

Well now I do have my thoughts for the weekend. LOL She is a darling little superhero and I love that polka dotted paper backing her up. Terrific coloring job on her and I love your little twine bow. It is nice to see one of your precious creations. Have a good weekend. Hope it cools down for you soon.

She is adorable and I love the way you colored her. You always make me smile with your comments and no, I can't see any guy trying to pull on tights (especially in a cramped phone booth!) :-)

Good to see you sharing a card. I think her hair looks great the way you've done the purple, (it doesn't show purple at ALL! Just great shading & color. I'll have to remember this). I know that adding some of the BV colors to others, can tone or pep up the major color, IF I think to do it. This is a cutie and I like the way you've placed the embossed white square over the red & white dots on point. Looks like the Ohio Star quilt pattern. It's a fun and well done card! TFS & happy wkend. Hugs

It's wonderful to see you posting a card again Lynn! This little super hero girl is a real cutie and I love how you colored her hair with the touch of purple. I also like that diamond panel of red polka dot paper too. I never really thought about the Superman scenario, but now that you mention it - getting spandex tights on is no easy task for any human being, so I have to wonder along with you - how DID he do all that in a phone booth? LOL Have a great weekend and take good care of yourself!

Woohoo, my friend has posted again! Good to see you, Lynn. I love your little superhero girl and I think you're too critical of yourself. The purple in her hair looks great - it adds just the right touch of shadows. Of course, I love that she's a redhead. :-D

This is an adorable image and you've colored it beautifully, Lynn! Her hair doesn't look purple although bright purple, green and hot pink seem to be the "in" hair colors nowadays! I love how the polka dot piece makes this little gal stand out and look extra adorable! Hope all is well with you. xoxo

This card is very sweet and it makes me happy. We don't have fall here either. We have plenty of rain and humidity... So I should make cards with rain and water and such... Lol.

OMGOSH Lynn, this is such a cute, cute card!!! I love your.little super girl and her hair looks great. You certainly can't tell you used purple in it!! Sandy Allnock (sp) uses purple in her shading of skin tones. Can't tell it at all. Weird how that works. lol Glad to see you posting a card and entering challenges! I know what you mean about fall, just Friday we were 91 but then on Sat we were in the 70's with a.low of 47. How does that work?! I guess fall as arrived here for a.bit but they are.saying we.will be seeing some 90s in Oct. Yikes!!! Time will twll on that one. Hugs, Brenda

Fabulous layout for your delightful supergirl!! I love the twisted squares you used to show her off, Lynn! Sensational!! I was thrilled to see your work pop up in my feed!

We have just had the hottest week of the summer here on the Gulf Coast, too! What is with that!???! I am so beyond ready for some cool autumn breezes!

But it was a great week due to a visit from our long-time blogging buddy, Julie Short! What an amazing time we had! She kept us in stitches with her remarkable story telling!

So lovely to see you on the Blog, Lynn, and I love your super hero girl!! Actually, I wouldn't have noticed the purple in her hair; it doesn't look purple on my monitor. It just looks like you achieved great shadowing and depth so I think there's something to that idea. Hope you come back soon!! Hugs, Darnell
