Christmas Tree

A clean and simple card for the Rudolph Days Challenge this month.  I'm determined to make a couple of Christmas cards each month this year.  Of course I said that last year too and even though I started off with a bang, I fizzled pretty quick.  Hopefully I can stick with it this year.

The tree is from Lovely as a Tree from Stampin' Up and the sentiment is from Hero Arts.

A Little Too Busy

I'm not sure if this is just not a "Lynn card" or if, with all those pink flowers, it got a little too busy....and maybe a little too artsy fartsy.      Seems like a bit too much to me - but hey, surprise - it doesn't have a critter on it!  Shock, I know!

It really isn't the type of card I usually do but I saw the stamp from Simon Says Stamp, fell in love, bought it, and then pretty much came to a screeching halt on what to do with it.  I think next time there won't be all that coloring business going on.  I used the Zigs to color the flowers - and that's not something I usually do either.  The "You" die and sentiment are also from Simon.  I cut the You in white and layered it several times and then attempted to create a shadow having the bottom layer in black.

Two Plus Two Plus Two

Two little rabbits, two little hearts, and this will be headed to two beautiful little granddaughters.  They even have a pet rabbit too.... but only one and not two.

The image is from Gerda Steiner Designs and I'll be entering it in their monthly challenge.   I used a Mama Elephant frame die and a Lawn Fawn grass die.  The clouds were made using a homemade stencil with distress ink and the sentiment is an older one from Mark's Finest Papers.

Together

No, this isn't another Valentine card!  This is an anniversary card for some friends.   The stamp set is from Newton's Nook and the sentiment is a very old one from Stampin' Up.  The small hearts were punched out from an Impression Obsession die.

I'll enter this in the challenge at Casology (together) and at CAS(E) this Sketch (sketch challenge).

Cupid Cat Defending his Depends

Today's the big day and Cupid Cat is out and about attempting to defend his Depends.  Doesn't look like he did a very good job of it though - or maybe he just shot himself with that arrow.  As long as the arrow didn't poke a hole in the Depends all will be good though.

Some people would say Cupid Cat is all decked out here in his bloomers, undies, Jockey's or whatever but as you get older you see things like this and figure they just have to be Depends!

This is an image from C.C. Designs.  Don't you love the expression on his face!  My funny Valentine that I'll enter in the challenge at 2 Crafty Critter Crazies.

Thanks for stopping by.........and hope everyone has a nice Valentine's Day.

Froggy Valentine

Using another one of the panels I created with the alcohol inks.  This one reminded me of lily pads so what better to put on that other than a frog from Penny Black of course.

Are we getting tired of Valentine's Day cards yet?!  Only a couple more days so all will be good once again.

Bright Thanks

Very seldom will I try something new at all, but I recently saw a video using alcohol inks and Yupo paper and liked it.  Of course I didn't have any of the inks (or paper either for that matter) so splurged and got a bottle of  the blue, green, and yellow inks and a package of the Yupo.    Last of the big time spenders - right?

I figured those colors just have to look good together - maybe?  The jury is still out on the colors I picked mainly because the green and yellow turned into lime (minus the margarita!!).   It still came out looking pretty close to something or another.  (Like maybe splotches of blue, green and yellow)?   Since I was at a complete loss on what to do with this after it dried, I just die cut the piece with a rectangle die and then slapped a "thanks" die from Memory Box on it and layered it several times to make it kinda poof out a little.

Something different anyway.......

More Raccoons!

Another little raccoon from Hero Arts for you today.  Since it's another clean and simple card there really isn't too much you can say about it - so I just won't say anything.

I know I  haven't been around lately.  The computer bit the dust last week.  It wasn't pretty at all.   Surely this new one will last a little bit longer though.
