Very seldom will I try something new at all, but I recently saw a video using alcohol inks and Yupo paper and liked it. Of course I didn't have any of the inks (or paper either for that matter) so splurged and got a bottle of the blue, green, and yellow inks and a package of the Yupo. Last of the big time spenders - right?
I figured those colors just have to look good together - maybe? The jury is still out on the colors I picked mainly because the green and yellow turned into lime (minus the margarita!!). It still came out looking pretty close to something or another. (Like maybe splotches of blue, green and yellow)? Since I was at a complete loss on what to do with this after it dried, I just die cut the piece with a rectangle die and then slapped a "thanks" die from Memory Box on it and layered it several times to make it kinda poof out a little.
Something different anyway.......
Thanks for stopping by.........

This looks wonderful and love the colours. If you do this again maybe you could do an aquatic themed card with fish, shells and bubbles.

This is really beautiful Lynn gorgeous colours huggles Sue xx
I think you scored a big win on this new technique. And the colors are perfect together. (if you have copic reinkers you can use those too! Or drip some out of the markers) You've got some beautiful marbling and the simple framing allows those swirls of color to really stand out so nicely. Love the dimensional thanks...just perfect. HOpe you do some more of this, isn't it fun? You won't get the same thing twice! Good for you at trying a new to you technique. TFS & Hugs (ps. Liked the Margarita comment!)
It's something new and something quite beautiful too! I love the combination of those colors together and I have yet to invest in any yupo paper, so I'm still lounging around beneath that big ole rock! Love the bright white sentiment popped up like that too. It's a great card Lynn!!
Something different and absolutely fabulous Lynn. Have you seen Loll's video on using alcohol inks - it's here :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0YX0m8NVsBo

WOW! Lynn, this is gorgeous!
Absolutely stunning, Lynn! I think the combo of colors is marvelous and I love that you did a Thank You card. Great idea working with that sentiment die. I have two or three bottles of alcohol inks but have no idea what Yupo paper is so will have to explore that. You've inspired me to try this particular 'something new.' :-D
I love green and blue together and yellow is a color that just makes me happy! This my friend, makes me very happy! I love how you alcohol inks came out and it makes the perfect backdrop for your thanks die. This is just stunning in my eye Lynn! Hugs, Brenda
I love the colors, really! multi layering words to make them exciting is one of my very favorite new things to do. Love this!
You couldn't have picked better colors IMO, Lynn! And the stacked thanks is all that's needed! Love this! Wasn't that fun?
This turned out so stunning! Your colors look so amazing with how they pop!
You give new meaning to the word "vibrant," Lynn! I happen to love lime and royal blue together, so I am love, love, loving this! Go you for trying something new! I have had alcohol inks forever (love them on glossy paper). Then I got the YUPO paper two years ago to try this and I still haven't done so! (Shame!!) You are an inspiration!! Hugs, Darnell
Wow! This card is just gorgeous ! I love the color combination .

Fabulous card Lynn. The colors go really well together and I like how you popped the sentiment up on top of it.
I LOVE that you are trying new things : ) AI's on Yupo are so fun! Your background is beautiful and I love the die you used on this card. I look forward to seeing what else you make with this technique!!!
