I called that card I did last week my first mess - here's the second one. Not my usual style at all but it's always good to try something new too I suppose.
As far as what I did........whew! I had "stuff" all over my desk and I know it ended up taking several hours to make this.....Like I said - not my deal at all. Anyway........I used several colors of Oxides for the background, stenciled in some stars with texture paste, stamped a couple of different "whatevers" on the background, added more of the stamped die cut shapes like I did on the last card, and the cut out the image from AALL and Create and popped it up on the card. The image was colored in Copics and I added some Dazzling Diamonds to the dress. In comparison - this is more me. It looks VERY plain compared to the other card but whatever........I will still have two birthday cards to send out when needed!
Thanks for stopping by...........and keep smiling!

I love both of these cards Lynn..you are definitely cracking the mixed media! what a fab card hugs Sue x
You amaze me Lynn, this first mixed media card is SO FUN! I love the bright colors and I love the image. All your doodads are perfect. Might not be your jam, but boy are you good at it! Yes, your other card is more you and of course you have the CAS style down pat. Love both of them!!! Hugs, Brenda
They're two very different styles of cards, but you did each one so well, great job! I wish I could get messy and do mixed media but everything I've ever tried to make with that technique ended up as kindling LOL I love that character and the funny sentiment. Are her boobs hanging out of her top? OMG, that's too flippin hilarious!! Thanks for the great laughs and great cards too! Well done!
You are so eclectic Lynn, both your cards are so beautiful and even if you don't like all the mess, it came out so well! :D Absolutely love your background and the whole design!
The second one is more sweet and the touch of the twine is very pretty!
Wonderful contrast between the two cards Lynn, and it does 'do us good' to step out of our comfort zones - I like them both, and well done on challenging yourself
I was inspired by yours and Brenda's cards, so made a background, large enough to cut in half and make two cards - so far I have made a masculine version, and have added to the challenge by deciding to make the second one a feminine one... won't be sharing for a while as one is fit for a DT card

You always make me smile, Lynn! You've done a fantastic mixed media background for this sassy gal! I'm with you on the CAS being my favorites but the mixed media is fun to do sometimes too. I think you have done them beautifully!
I rather like the splendid mess card. It makes you stop and take notice. Nice job. The second card is great. Plain and simple. Both are fun cards. Mixing up the type of cards you do gives you more skills. Keep it up.
Hugs and Blessings
