A Sip of Wine

I'm not a wine drinker - at all - but thought this little image from Designed2Delight was just fabulous. The reason I'm not a wine drinker is that back in my young and crazy days I drank an entire bottle - all by myself. Now you don't even want to know the outcome of that episode!!!

Back to the image........if you go to Designed2Delight on the first of the month you get a free digi image. If you play in the challenge, the next week you get another image, and so forth. This is the second week/image and I really like it alot.

It is also for Always Playing with Paper challenge (Last week I was one of the "Cut Above" and SO very excited about that). For this week you have to create something using the colors Rose Red, Certainly Celery, Gray, and Vanilla (or similar colors). The "gray" part of this really threw me but I used a layer of it in the matting for the card - and then realized that Rose Red and Gray are just so pretty together.

I stamped the image and then colored it with SU markers. The flower was stamped and then stamped again, cut out, and popped up. The paper I used is, of course, Rose Red, Vanilla, Gray, and Certainly Celery.

Go check out both of these sites as they are just wonderful.

Thanks for stopping by.................

Lynn

Oh, Lynn, I LOVE this!! Your coloring on the bottle is wonderful. :o) I too was initially thrown by the grey, but managed to find a way to work it in. I just wish I had had some gray paper as well. Oh well. :oP

This is really pretty. And I like that it has traditional Christmas colors but doesn't look at all like a Christmas card.

Thats too funny about the wine Lynn. I love a good glass of wine. Love the muted green paper then the pop of red to go with it. Gorgeous.

When I drink wine, it's considered my serving of fruit (ha ha)

Lynn, this card is certainly designed to delight. I love the colors, the layout and they way you treated the flowers.
Now... come one.... you have to tell the story of your "bottle of wine night"! We should exchange stories one day.. over coffee though :-)

Me... I also consider wine to be a fruit - and a serving of antioxidants :-)
