A Line of Horses

Since I have a couple of guy birthdays coming up I figured I'd better get some masculine cards completed. This is a VERY clean and simple card but I like the looks of it for all the cowboys (and wanna-be cowboys) out there.

I actually used something on it I'd never used before (SHOCK, I know). But I'll tell you this - I don't know if I'll EVER use it again!!!! I sprayed the panel with the horses on it with Black Magic Glimmer Mist. Maybe I just need to read about how to use this stuff or something - but it was just a MESS! I finally ended up taking it outside to use.

The images came from Stampabilities called Horse Line and the sentiment is from CTMH (Happy Birthday). I used Cherry Cobbler, White, and Black card stock. The entire panel is popped up on dimensionals and then I tied some raffia on it.

Thanks for stopping by..............

It might have been a mess but I love the Glimmer Mist!

Lynn,
this is fabulous. It is such a great masculine card without being "outdoorsy" or sports oriented. Perfect. the red frame really helps pull the image out.

Terrific male card!!! I haven't used glimmer mist but I'll believe you when you say it was messy (but worth it!!)
I have to invest in some larger sentiments - seems like mine are all small. I love this one you used :)

Great "guy" card you did a great job! Love the colors, just perfect. I know what you mean about Glimmer Mist, I like the affect, but you need to have everything covered and I usually have a paper towel ready to blot :). You can see I don't use it much, but I think it works well with your card.

Another fantastic masculine card. I'm trying to get the hang of shimmer spray my trick is hold it away...way away. I sprayed it to close and it looked a mess.

Great card Lynn. I am sure that many of us have stamps that are unopened. The effects of the Glimmer Mist really add to the card and like many things the more you use it, the easier it becomes. Good luck with the next time.

I do really like the simplicity of this. The mist may have been a mess but it really did add a great texture to your image panel. I also like the thin, red mat on your card base. Terrific masculine card.

This is what I get for not stopping by in awhile. I have missed some gorgeous artwork and of course I have to get this stamp set for my little equestrian rider!!!
