A Short Cowboy

It's time for the monthly Sketch Challenge at Dude Time Doodles.  You have one week to flip the sketch, twist the sketch, work the sketch, and submit your creation.  You're not required to use a Bonibleaux Design image although it always makes us happy when you do.   Check out the sketch on the Dude Time Doodles Blog!   It MUST be masculine themed.  So head on over to the Dude Time Doodles blog and join in on the fun.  Who knows, you could be the Top Blog or one of the Top Three for the week - and the Top Blog will win a prize.

Cowboy DOWN with Deputy Dave!  You can find him in the Dude Time Doodles STORE - along with a whole bunch more cute images.   Poor Dave is not only old and shrinking, but has also been riding a horse for too many years and as he legs get more bowed, he just keeps getting shorter.  His shirt and jeans are all faded out and the boots have seen so much wear and tear you can hardly tell what color they originally were.

Thanks for stopping by..........and head over to DTD to check out the sketch and then submit your entry.

Lynn, This card is adorable. The colors and the embossed paper make it look like he is coming out through saloon doors. Good coloring and I love that brad with that twil. Thanks so much for sharing.

What a great card with that ole cowboy! Love the coloring with the shading to make things look like they are fading. You have such great texture on this with the embossing and seam binding, wonderful card. Have you cooled down like we have? Yippee, of course now the pool is too cool to swim in :(

Such a fun card! Love how everything is faded looking and your story is too cute. The embossed background is perfect for an old weathered guy like Dave.

How cute is this? LOL I think over time his memory is affected, too. He seems to have forgotten to strap on his gunbelt! Great coloring and I love the papers.

Adorable, Lynn. Once again you managed to tie all the pieces together to create a well crafted card... the brad really reminds me of a deputy star, the plaid paper reminds me of a deputy shirt and i swear that striped brown element is the saloon doors closing behind him. All it needs is a little dust devil running down main street....
love it

You make such fun cards Lynn. I know when I visit your blog I will smile because your stories for the cards are fabulous. It looks like Deputy Dave has seen a very good life out there on the range on his trusty steed.
