Stamps R Us Challenge

The theme for the Stamps R Us Challenge for the next two weeks is so easy and I know you'll want to join in on all the fun!  Show us your embossing!  That's right....just create a card, scrapbook page, or any other project,  with some type of embossing on it and enter into our current challenge.  You could win a wonderful prize package from our sponsor, Sketching Stamper Digi Stamps.  ALL of her digis are fabulous so be sure and check out her store.

This digi, Christmas Cabin, can be found in the Sketching Stamper Digi Stamp store - along with so many more great images.  I colored it with Copics and Prisma pencils, cut out a frame with some SU punches, and mounted it on dimensionals atop the white background that was embossed using the Square Lattice die from SU.  My trees in the background look a little washed out (I used Old Olive and a blender pen), so we're just going to pretend that it's snowing so hard we're almost in blizzard conditions behind the cabin (even though we now have a little blue sky)!!!  I was going to put some Liquid Applique on those branches to make it look like snow, but just couldn't get the look  I wanted - so I just kind of dabbed the blending pen on the branches and left some white - then went over the white with my Stardust pen.  The "snow" on the roof and in the foreground is glittered.  The sentiment is from an unknown set of images that I had picked up at Walmart last year.

I'll enter this in the challenges at Cardmadfairy Digi Days Challenge (winter wonderland), Simply Create Too (Christmas), and Repeat Impressions DCC1123 Designers Choice Challenge (Christmas with a snowflake).

Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving or weekend.  I, for one, am glad everyone has gone home now! LOL!  It's always great to see family and friends, but also nice when they're gone.  We had a good "day after" Thanksgiving with a lot of good food, etc.   I'll pop back in with a another posting on Wednesday - hopefully!  I just haven't felt very creative the last few days - maybe just too much else going on.

Thanks for stopping by........
Lynn

You know what I thought of instantly when I saw your card? What I pray and hope and wish we see when we head for the mountains! LOL! I hope to see a scene just like this! :) You've created a masterpiece in this one - lovely details and just gorgeous!

We visited the cousins this Tgiving that are moving to Austin - they lost their jobs here and after a year's searching to no avail, they are moving to a whole new area. Hmm, future visits? :)

Thanks for the kind comments Lynn and also for the well wishes too!

I also HOPE a new med might actually help, but I'm trying NOT to get too excited, as I have been through many trials before, without great results!

Thanks again and I hope you had a lovely Holiday Weekend!!
