Bird is the Word

I just love this little bird image from Meljen's.  There's something about those LONG legs!  What is it they always say....I'm not fat, I'm just too short!!  Well, this little guy is certainly tall so shouldn't have any worries about his weight!  I thought he'd make a great card for a spring time birthday.

As I said the image is from Meljen's.  All the paper and sentiment are from SU.   I also just used some plain old yarn on it instead of the Baker's Twine.  When I was making it, I kept thinking I had a sentiment that said Happy Bird-day......but after looking high and low, couldn't find it.  I got the entire card completed - and then found it!  UGH!   One of these days I'm going to un-mount ALL of my sentiments and put them in the same place!   Oh, well.....it still will get the birthday message across I think.

I'm not sure what's going on with me and all the pink on cards these days - especially when my favorite color is blue!!  Maybe I just have too much pink paper!

Thanks for stopping by........and if I get off my duff around here, I'll get a Funny Friday made and posted....We'll see!

Lynn, You started my day with a great big smile when I saw this card. Adorable image and I love all the pink and I'm not much of a pink person either. It just seems to be the perfect color for this image and card. Enjoy your day.

Love your adorable pink bird and the paper piecing. I unmounted all my stamps and it does make it easier to find stuff. Just wish I could think of a way to put all my digi's with all my rubber :-)

OMG... now those are long legs for sure. And I love her boots/ shoes. Great colouring. And that yarn look fab... to be honest it looks better than baker's twine. Dunno why?

BTW, your pink cards are lovely... remember the butterfly one with a white lace bow... it keeps dancing in front of my eyes. Such a pretty card that was as is this one.

I have been in a real pink mood lately too. I visited my niece this weekend and she is redoing her bedroom and using black white and pink for her colors. Of course this Aunty took her shopping and I think I bought more pink stuff than I ever have before!

I love this card, I have a fascination with any stamps that have long legs like that. Too cute!

My favorite color is also blue and I really like all of the pink on this too! Love the DSP body and those long skinny legs! I think the yarn was a great choice for this and the little bit of bling on the layered flower is perfect! Really looking forward to your Funny Friday!

I just love this long-legged chick, and the paper piecing looks amazing! Gorgeous pink colors and papers! I cracked up over your sentiment story, because yesterday I looked high and low for a solid hour for one particular stamp set and couldn't find it. The minute I started working on something else, I remembered exactly where it was! DUH! If I ever say I'm fairly organized, slap me, willya? LOL
