A Little Bit of Love

Thought I'd make a card today that wasn't themed Easter or St. Patrick's Day and just show a bit of LOVE!  A couple of years ago a friend of mine gave me a small box that was filled with stuff that belonged to her mom - buttons, charms, old coins, and looks like some old pieces of jewelry.  This heart was in the box.  I mounted it on a square of burlap and added the ribbon and "I Love You" sentiment.  A quick and easy card that I thought I'd give the hubs - so he could give the heart back to me with a chain on it! LOL!

This is for the challenge at CAS(e) This Sketch this week.

Thanks for stopping by..........
Lynn

What a beautiful, but your reason for giving it to hubs is even better. I knew I liked you for your ideas as well as your talent. LOL. That is a very nice charm and you showcased is beautifully. The burlap and the red ribbon really makes it pop off the page. The simple layout is perfect because if you had anymore on the card I think the beauty of this charm would have been lost. I LOVE this one, Lynn.

This is a lovely card. I am always so impressed with the way you can make CAS cards that aren't "flat." You always add that little something that makes your cards different and delightful.

That's some good thinking, Lynn, but I hope you told him what he's supposed to do with the heart! MY DH wouldn't think to put it on a chain in a million years! LOL, everything needs to be written out for him! It sure makes a pretty card!

Heh Heh....you are one crafty girl in more ways than one I see :) I heard of gifts with strings attached, but chains? Well that's a first for me, and I like it :)
Seriously, this is one great CAS card, and that heart charm really is pretty! Way to showcase it with a piece of burlap!

I just showed this to Ray- he likes it and was surprised that other people give their husbands cards- and want the card- or parts of it back!!! Love the card AND the heart- it will look very pretty on a chain!

Oh I LOVE this... this is so me. Hope you get the chain... Lol.
The charm is so sweet. And that reminds me I have something like this too so thanks for the inspiration. Except that I can never expect anything from hubby...lol. I will have to go and buy my own chain. Lol.
The burlap and red ribbon look swell.
How cool to combine the informality of burlap with a fancy charm.
Love,
M

Aren't you the clever one with the heart idea! This is such a simply elegant card, the burlap on white...hard to think of burlap as 'elegant', but it certainly is HERE! You do these minimal layouts so well, and so effectively. TFS
