Pot of Pansies - Seize the Birthday

We have another challenge beginning today at Seize the Birthday and would love for you to come along and play.  We need to see your feminine cards this time - and of course, it needs to be for a birthday.  We also have a brand new sketch for you to work with.  We're being sponsored by Paper Sweeties this week!  Be sure and check out the blog for all the details and see the inspiration from the DT.

Purple!!!  Yikes, I never use this color on a card and don't know what possessed me to do it now other than the fact that when I think of purple, I think pansies!  The stamp is from Hero Arts and I colored it with Copics and Prisma pencils.  The sentiment is from SU - as is the background DP.  I also added a tiny white butterfly.

Pansy season around here is actually over with - getting too hot now - but I still have a couple of pots of them struggling along.  It won't be too much longer though and I'll have to replace them with something else.

I'll enter this in the challenge at Simon Says Stamp (birthday!)

Thanks for stopping by...........and be sure and check out Seize the Birthday this week.

Well, you know I love the purple but aside from that, I love your interpretation of the sketch. Fabulous coloring on the image, Lynn, and that bow is incredible! Gorgeous background paper, too. I guess I just love it all. :-D

LOL! Had to laugh at your comment about using purple. It isn't a color I use often, either. However, this is a lovely card, and I think purple was precisely the color for it. Even though Pansy flowers come in various colors, none stand out quite like the purple. Excellent choice. Beautiful card.

Too...hot....for pansies? THUD.
It is never too hot here for pansies. I've never heard of such a thing. That's just crazy! And sad, because they are my favourite garden flower :)
Gorgeous card! I too struggle with purple, and this is perfection! Love the pansy image & that big ol' bow :)
