This is Not a Pig!

Nothing fancy here by any means what-so-ever, BUT I did get a card made yesterday!  Pretty proud of myself just for sitting down and doing one.   It doesn't come without a "story" though!!!

This is such a CAS card and there's just no way to mess it up - yea, right!!!!  First of all, I got the entire card completed, took a pic, and was putting it on the blog and something just wasn't right with it!  I had stamped a DOG with "sMOOches" on it!!  So I re-stamped it with the cow and added "sMOOches" under it.  Not a problem at all!!  It just looked so plain but since I consider it a Holstein cow it had to be black and white!  But plain looking it was - so I colored it's nose pink.  Now of course Jim just has to add his two cents worth and  looked at it and wanted to know why I had "sMOOches" with a picture of a PIG!!!!!!!!  This is NOT a pig - and yes, a Holstein cow does have a pink nose!!!! (Note to self -  don't ever let the hubs see my cards again! LOL!)

The "Love Ya!" sentiment is from CTMH and the image and "sMOOches" sentiment from Paper Smooches.  The little hearts at the bottom are from There She Goes.  I also tied a tiny bow from floss and put it in her hair.

I used a sketch from Just Us Girls and will enter it in their challenge.  LOVE this sketch and know I'll be using it over and over again.

Thanks for stopping by............and again, this is NOT a pig!!

bahaha :D Sometimes we really shouldn't show hubbies our cards. I'm still smarting over comments made about handmade flowers, lol! I happen to love this pretty little Holstein, and her pink nose, and I love the gingham scallops too!

Such a funny story Lynn and it does look like a Holstein. Can't see a pig at all. After all pigs are pink not black and white.

I think sooner or later we're gonna have to create cards behind locked doors if our hubsters continue to criticize our work! LOL!! Your card is adorable, regardless of what animal it is, and don't tell Jim, but I thought it was a pig too until I read your description :) Bwahahahaha! sOINKches just doesn't work does it :)

Oh dear...what a funny story. This is a delightful card, so cute & makes me smile. (yes, it did look like a cow, but I can truly see where DH was coming from...we do the same 'round this house!). Somebody is going to just adore receiving this card...love how you do the sketches too. I should do that...get some more interest in my 'plain janes'. TFS & Hugs.

Yup - my hubs says things like that - they are so literal at times ;-).
Love the card, and CAS is often the hardest type of card to make.

Now you've been stamping a long time Lynn - you should KNOW never to show a card to your hubby! It's a fab card and I like the gingham scallops at the top which reminds me of a jar!

Too funny, Lynn! (And I'm yelling AMEN about keeping hubs out of it!!) Your card is adorable whether it's a cow or a dog or a pig! But I clearly see a Holstein coz I grew up in Holstein country in Iowa, and I think you nailed the breed!!

Oh, Lynn, I'm actually holding my sides from laughing. I knew immediately it was a cow but someone who shall remain nameless (a guy) was looking over my shoulder and asked, "Is that supposed to be a pig?" Must be a guy thing. I adore this card, and the gingham dp is wonderful. The bow in her hair just tops off everything!

Fab card Lynn and I like the story! This just makes me smile... the cow with a bow is a hoot and I like those sentiments. I know I've said it before but you have such a good eye for colour... that pop of red paper is the perfect addition to this card.
