Time To Celebrate

Happy New Year everyone - hope I'm not too late!!!  Our new year has started off pretty rough around here!  Rambo (the doxie) decided two of his legs weren't going to work anymore, Sassy (the cat) decided not to eat ever again, and Jim (the hubby)......we won't even go there!!  Finally everyone is a tiny bit better so I decided to start celebrating the new year!

It's also time for another challenge at Squigglefly and our theme for this challenge is Snow Much Fun!  Be sure and check out our challenge and enter for you chance to win a wonderful prize - remember to use a Squigglefly image!  For my card today I used New Years Lampshade by Sandra Caldwell.  He's colored with Copics and then the snowflake was made using a very old punch.

.......and no, I've never partied so hard that I had the lampshade on my head - but......I have danced on a table top before!  I don't think we want to go there either!!

Thanks for stopping by........and be sure and check out Squigglefly for our challenge and so great images!

Fun card! I know a few people who probably should have put a lampshade on! LOL! Your New Year sounds a lot like mine. DH and I were both sick since Christmas Eve and are just now feeling back to normal - that bronchitis was tough on us - we are on serious vitamins to beef up our health some. Love your fun card and I will miss being on the DT with you!!! Hugz

I say we celebrate new year's every day of the year that we're still alive! LOL Fun card, and I love that image!! The button on the snowflake is perfect too!
I hope Rambo is doing OK and the cat is too! What happened to Rambo's legs?
Gees, my friend just had to put her Rottweiler down yesterday because his back end gave out and he couldn't walk or get up anymore :( I do hope Rambo recovers quickly!!

Too much excited at your house Lynn! What a way to start off the New Year! Is Sassy the cat male too? That might explain some things, cause we know how males are! lol I love, love this card! The lamp shade guy cracks me up and I love the way you have colored him. I think I have that same snowflake punch and I love it. Love that paper snippet you used too as well as the twine. Hugs, Brenda

Hahaha this is a stitch and I can just imagine seeing you dancing on a table- I have to admit- you are one up on me! Love this card! I hope everyone is on the mend and that you do not join them!

I'm laughing over the mental image I have of you dancing on a table. Forgive me if I picture you with a lamp shade. Too funny! This card is also just too funny. Great coloring and I like both the snowflake and the snowflake paper. Hope all my laughter doesn't disturb the "get well crew' hanging out at your house. Glad to know most are feeling better, especially Rambo.

Tried to post a comment to this cute card before...I don't think it went through...
Sorry your NEW year started off not so good...so did ours...but I won't go into that...smile...

Your adorable party card reminded me of the party I went to on Sunday. I wish I had a lampshade to hide under there...smile
Not so I could be the life of the party, but to be invisible! I didn't feel like I belonged there and it didn't help that 3/4 of the people there,( both teenagers and adults) were more interested in looking at their iphones...I don't own one...so while they were texting, tweeting, checking their email, showing off pics to their friends, and playing games on their iphones...I'm sitting there wishing I was invisible.
Okay, I feel better now. I vented! Hoping things will pick up for you and go much better. Many blessings to you in the new year.

Lynn, lets just start this year over will we?? Preferably with a good shin dig, fit to bring the lampshades down with song and dance - and who needs booze to do that? It's more fun when you are sober. Great card, keep up the good work between tending patients!
Blessings

Oh good GRIEF, someone is leaning on your smite button!!! I'm glad everyone's on the mend but SHEESH!
I think we could all use a lampshade type party...I'm with you, danced on tables (yikes) but no lampshade. A traffic cone one time though!
