It's Officially Over

Valentine's Day is officially over with so that can only mean one thing - Spring is on the way!  This will be me in another couple of months and in the mean time there's tilling to be done and getting the garden all ready for planting.  We've down-sized so much in the last few years on our planting but it's still always a big job.  We used to plant between 50 and 75 tomato plants.  This year we say we're only going to plant maybe 24.  A week goes by, and we say 12.  Another week goes by, and it becomes 6.  By the time all the plants are in the ground, it's already back up to about 18 or 24!  Keeps me busy I guess but sure is a lot of work.

This is an image from Sassy Cheryl and is such a cutie.  I used some "hello sunshine" paper that came in a Simon Says Stamp kit and also some scraps that were on my desk.  The sentiment is from Mark's Finest Papers.

Thanks for stopping by.............
Lynn

Aw, this is cute, Lynn! Beautifully coloured and so cheery! It's hard to think about spring when we're in the middle of a major blizzard and we already have 3 feet of snow on the ground! But it is a nice thought! And I can't wait! I hate winter!

Oh, this is just too cute. I love it. The blackbirds arrived here last week by what seems like millions and yesterday the robins were everywhere. I even thought I saw a golden bell blooming. Soooooo, you're right, Spring is coming before too long. My daffodils are up. But, we're expecting sleet and snow the next few day so Spring isn't here quite yet. I wish had a place to plant tomatoes. I LOVE them. My son used to plant a few here and they were big and awesome tasting. That area is now too shady. We have lots of trees.
I love looking at your card as it reminds me of better days ahead.

I WISH spring had sprung. It may be a while before I can say this little cutie is me outside tilling, planting or admiring my crops. LOL Love the sunny yellow papers and the blue polka dotted paper also. Have a nice day.

Oh! Dare to dream of spring! And tomato plants!!! Those of course won't be planted here until June... so looking forward to our bountiful local farmer's market and your card just is making me hungry for farm fresh foods!

Well, I know that I'm pretty much done with Valentine's cards...but it does NOT feel like spring here yet...very cold and windy my way. I am so ready for spring.

I'm really loving the blue & yellow! And it doesn't feel too springy here today...as of yesterday our snow accumulation for the year was 284 cm (about 9 feet) and we are getting another 2 feet today. Uncle!!

Too cute!! I'm thinking longingly of Spring, as is everyone out here with our feet of snow. Tomato planting seems like a distant memory - but your card reminds me that eventually Spring will come!!

Great colors and that circular wire clip is perfect with the sentiment!

Awe that is just toooo adorable Lynn!! Love the fun blue and yellow with the cutie image :) Looks like me right now! Its in the 80s and we spent the weekend harvesting and putting up turnips, napa cabbage, kale, broccoli and peas! The tomatoes are loaded but not ripe yet. Getting ready to plant squash, beans and melons now.

OMGosh Lynn, you look adorable in those overalls with your pitch fork!!! lol Seriously this card is adorable and I just love that cute image! You would fit right in here on the farm that's for sure. Love those papers you used on this card, so bright and cheerful! I'm jealous that spring is on it's way to you, but I also know that means work is on the way too. I don't do a garden anymore, but probably should. I love fresh vegies and I loved when it was all canned and sittin' pretty on the shelf for winter! You have colored this cutie up so well and I just love it! Hugs, Brenda

Glad that you can see the road ahead to garden time. I just see ice , snow and cold for weeks yet. As far as down sizing, Hubby says the same thing. We had such a bad growing season, last year, he said we will buy from farmer's markets. I do love you're spring card and it's fantastic colors. That is a fun image, Lynn!
