I guess I'm just sending everyone a big hug today! It's not a Funny Friday but still a Fun Friday.
I used some stamps from Simon Says Stamp and also The Alley Way Stamps. The sun die and circle die are from Lil Inker and the rectangle die from My Favorite Things.. I colored the images with Copics and sponged in a little bit of sky.
Y'all have heard me complain for the last couple of years about the awful drought Texas has been in.........Well, no more! It seems we've had a little bit more than our share of rain lately. Jim and I are fine and no flooding at the house thank goodness - yet! We live close to a small creek that becomes a raging river when we have rains like this but we were very lucky this time and haven't had a problem. I understand that more is on the way though. The garden sure is taking a beating. Rambo has not been happy at all with all this rain - unless he spies a squirrel in the yard and then he doesn't seem to mind getting a little wet.
My heart goes out to those that have lost family or friends in all the floods. So many people are still missing and so much property damage. Very sad.
Thanks for stopping by.........and have a great weekend.

Merry Mouse
Today I'm using a little mouse from Deedee's Digis. You can find this set in Deedee's shop. Cute images and sentiments and they come in the colored or line version. I decided to color this little guy and then added some embossing, circle die, patterned paper, tag (that was stamped with a background), twine, and a tiny heart charm.
Another Christmas card done and I don't even want to think of how many more I need to do right now!
I'll enter this in the challenges at Christmas at Sweet Stampin' (cute) and Rudolph Days Challenge (anything goes).

Wild Thing
Getting a little wild here today! So........what's the answer...... is a zebra black with white stripes OR white with black stripes? Guess that's the question for the day. I'm sure there's a correct answer to that but when I was a child we were always trying to determine which it was.
I've used a stamp from Repeat Impressions for the zebra and frame and the sentiment is from Stampendous. I added a bit of Christmas paper, a rectangle die, and the tiny heart. A very clean and simple card. I think I just made a Valentine card for next year!
I'll enter this in the challenges at Simon Says Stamp (alphabet x, y, or z), Addicted to CAS (animal) and at My Time to Craft (zoo animals).

Fancy Butterfly
Well.......pretty fancy for me anyway. I've really been slacking lately on getting some cards completed and then posted. I'm trying to do better but so often there's just not enough hours in the day.
I used a couple of Memory Box dies - the greenery that's actually white so guess I'll have to call it whitery, and the Piestra Tile die on the side. The blue under the tile die was done sponging different shades of blue distress inks. The butterfly, from Impression Obsession, was cut out of card stock and then I added the vellum overlay. Pearls were added on the butterfly and "whitery" and a sentiment from SU.
I'll try to get back over here sometime soon but it may not be until next week. If not, hope everyone has a great weekend.
I'll enter this in the challenges at Crafter's Cafe (Get Well Soon), Little Red Wagon (Die Cutting) and at Pixie's Crafty Workshop (Snippets).

Cheers!
Cheers!
This is for a couple of very special friends in my life - Good times and good friends! I love all the Art Impression stamps but this one just reached out and grabbed me because it brought back so many fun memories. This is colored in Copics with patterned paper from Pebbles and Recollections. A little wooden flower with an enamel dot finished off the card.
Now normally I'd give you a rip roaring story with the three of us clinking glasses of beer - but will save that for another day!
I'll enter this is the challenge at Art Impressions (Lovely Ladies).

Smile!
Today is Friday so let's see a great big SMILE!
When I was growing up my dad didn't like it as I started eyeing all the boys - which of course I did anyway. He'd always say to just smile and just keep walking! HA! As if that was ever going to work! I did smile a lot though - and still do. What better way to start to the day!
Several months ago I got this nifty little tool called a Misti at My Sweet Petunia. Although I haven't had a lot of time to practice with it yet, one thing I did learn is that it was so much easier to stamp something straight using this! Even using a stamp-a-ma-jig thingy I would always get everything crooked. So, for this card I pulled out the Misti and proceeded to stamp the lines of dots. Worked great and they're actually straight! Then I used a MFT Smile die and cut that out of black, added glossy accents, and popped it up on a piece of white card stock.
I'd like to enter this in the challenge over at The Crooked Stamper (sketch). Leslie has great sketches every month.

Bag It
Is it already Christmas???? That's exactly what Jim asked me this afternoon when I was taking a picture of this! Geeze!!!! Well........no, it's not here yet but will be here before we know it!
I got this Lawn Fawn die last year right before Christmas and ended up making about 15 gift card holders. It's a perfect size gift bag and they were quick to make. Of course I waited until the last minute to do them so figured I'd better start early this year.
Santa Daniel, from Deedee's Digi, made this into quick little gift card holder since I used the pre-colored version. The set also includes several different images and some sentiments - and they come in colored or line version that you can color yourself. I used a stitched circle die, some sequins, and added a little Wink of Stella to the image. One gift card holder down and only about 14 to go now!
Deedee's Digis are so fun to work with and you'll find cute images in her shop. There is also a progressive challenge going on each month. Check it out!

To All The Mothers
This is an image for the progressive challenge at From the Heart Stamps. Sweet, right.....and cute too. I love the mama and baby bird - or at least that's how I see it anyway. Great card for Mother's Day! Check out all the rules for this over at From the Heart. They also have a weekly sketch challenge and since I followed the sketch, I'll also enter my card there.
The image is colored in Copics and I used some patterned paper from a SSS kit and from American Crafts. The corner die is from Cherry Lynn Designs.
I'll not only enter this in the challenge at From The Heart (sketch), Pixie's Crafty Workshop (snippets) Crafty Calendar (things with wings).

Married Life
This weekend I finally decided I'd better get off my duff and start creating a little. I've been so busy this past week and haven't been able to even think about creating. So Saturday morning, I woke up and told Jim that "today is MY day". I'm going back to the cubby hole and will be buried in card stuff and NOT to bother me. And then.........
Not even an hour later, I hear - "Hey, I think we should try to plant a little garden! All we have to do is till a small area and put some seeds in. It won't take us long at all (notice how he used the word "us" in that statement!"
Jim is feeling a little better but still not able to do much - so, the "we" business of us doing this turned into more of a "me" business. Four hours later I'm still digging in the dirt and feeling like a semi truck hit me after being beaten to death running that tiller. It's all done though and now we just have to give it a little water and watch it grow......hopefully!
I'm thinking one of the key ingredients of being married is having patience!!! Of course, wanting to wring their neck, is another one though!
I finally did get a little "ME" time in on Sunday so hopefully will be posting more - no promises though. Oh, this image is from Sarah Kaye. It's colored with Copics, sentiment added, and a couple of tiny hearts coated with Wink of Stella.
Thanks for stopping by......
