Live the Life

Artsy, fartsy - I'm not!  I probably have a lot more fartsy in me than the artsy, but still had to give it a shot on this card.  I think probably to have it look right in that category I would have had to add a lot more stuff to this - but it is what it is!

I recently got some of the distress oxide inks and thought I'd see what it'd do on glossy paper.  Other people may be able to swing that but not me at all!  They do show up a lot brighter though on glossy paper but just don't blend as great for me on that.  On regular card stock they blend like butter!  Anyway, after smearing a bunch of different colors on this I used a stencil and made the blue dots.  Lastly, I stamped an older Tim Holtz image.  The sentiment looks a little whoppy-jawed (crooked) but it really isn't.  Oh well...............

Thanks for stopping by..............and have a great weekend!

I keep seeing these Tim Holtz oxide inks on other folks' projects and then I think I should try them. But so far, I haven't purchased any of the inks so it's a bit hard. However, this one inspires me so if I go spend the money, I'm going to blame you, my friend! lol Fabulous background, Lynn, and I love the silhouette image and sentiment.

I love me some Oxides. I have to admit that I have not tried it on glossy. You made a perfect backdrop for this manly silhouette! Hope your weekend is super.

If you think the sentiment is crooked, it only adds character to the card, Lynn. This is an awesome card and wow, another technique.
